I find it hard to know what, where, who when with killer?

I don't play Killer any more for a long time, it's hard to get to know how to play certain Killers with the constant nerf/buff battle leaving me and I think a few others confused. Maybe test so, hear what people say, tweak and then release, always going to have people issuing complaints, but Killers are so tweaked, so are perks so leaving such a huge confusion. You can't always cater or pander to your audience, hear whar majority say and come up with a final plan, don't tweak and tweak to apease people.

i have jumped back in after like 6 months of not playing and found it easy to get back in the groove of things. alot of stuff people complain about are things only people who play very large amounts of the game are going to notice small changes. many times they dont actually change how the killer is played. killers are played as how their powers are designed and may have a perk or 2 that complements them or may just get switched out for other perks all together.

Imagine learning how to swim, then the way you swim is wrong, and this is the way to swim, wait no this was the orrect way to swim, and people saying this and that way to swim and get confused.

yea the swimming is pretty much the same swimming, theres just small changes most of the time with duration of X. the fundamentals of a killer rarely change.

But how are people meant to learn, adapt to the constant changes to appease many audiences?

i dont think there is that much adapting that needs to be done. X ability lasts 0.2 seconds less than before or has 0.4 meters longer range.

That doesnt change the fundamentals of the character. this is a playerbase which complains on 99% of changes made on any side, any character, any perk. Thats a personal character problem(something i have been at fault for myself) not a problem of it being hard to adapt.

    Mind-games barely changes.

From the top of my head, the killers that have been changed enough to affect the way they are played.

Well, it's basically Freddy, by far. I expect the Skull Merchant will soon join him.

On a smaller level, there are also: Doctor (somewhat), Billy (got gutted for a while, I don't remember what was done to him), Spirit (can't roll the dice on a pallet anymore), Nurse (blink attacks were made special, effectively disabling a whole panel of perks and associated tactics).

(I may be forgetting something but it's 00:40)

This is common with a lot of games since the advent of dlc updates, even with mobas and fighting games. Always takes a lot of getting caught up on details if skipping over a few updates, and that definitely happens here too.

When in doubt, return to Legion. They are the Ol' Reliable

I think a lot of people are struggling with those killers that receive repeated substantial changes.

Skull Merchant being the best example. How do I play her? How do I play against her? Should I disarm the drones or work around them? Check YouTube and pretty much any tutorial videos are at best out of date and at worst misleading to the point of being detrimental

Same deal with Onryo. People don't know whether it's best to pick up a tape or not pick up a tape.
