Kill Switch update: The issue affecting Baermar Uraz's Ugly Sweater has been fixed and the cosmetic has been reenabled in all queues with this update.

Do the devs every read/comment on forum posts?

Honestly from everything I've seen comment wise, event after event it seems like they either don't listen to the player base or don't care. Either way it's disheartening to the players with valid concerns about game balance, rewards, etc. that go unaddressed. I would appreciate a "we see your concern and it is (valid, invalid, being addressed, put in place to balance x,y,z)" any kind of justification or reasoning would be great. I hope I'm not alone in feeling like forum posts are like suggestions for the suggestion box that just ends up immediately in the trash.

For the sake of their sanity I hope not.

The devs do read the feedback section and they do make changes based on feedback. The problem you are having is expecting them to make the exact changes people suggest

the Community Managers and Moderators are the ones actively reading comments on here and other platforms and forwarding them to the development teams.

Some devs might also read here and there but only within their own free time and probably not professionally (individual takes are very subjective after all and its better to have a community team collect feedback in more strategical manners than just reading comments here in there (summarize, statistics, analytics, …)

When there's a number of them that are just straight up whining we'd be understanding if they don't.

That said, we know that people from Bhvr do infact read these threads and occasionally listen. Why they can't always reassure people could be for a verity of reasons but we wouldn't immediately assume the worst of it, so try not to worry too much.

Yes, they do, but they often don't give a statement but rather keep the forum clean of repulsive content and occasionally excessive criticism of the game.

Several of the mods are community managers and report our feedback to the dev team on a daily basis. Other times, devs come and post directly.

I once made a suggestion to how a perk could be changed that got the BHVR Read status and was used verbatim a month or two later. Plenty other times I've caterwauled about changes that didn't end up going through or got reverted - within the past few PTBs, they listened to complaints about moris, complaints about the updated UI and how it emphasized the store/rearranged the display order of characters, complaints about various perk changes, complaints about 2v8, and complaints about changes to both Knight and Skull Merchant, to name a few.

They're definitely paying attention. And while there are things they don't listen to that I wish they would…. I do have to admit, the forums are hyperbolic enough that if they did everything we asked for, this game would be unplayable.

Overall I feel they've improved community outreach and reactivity significantly from where it was when I started playing. Are they perfect, no, I've got a laundry list of problems with this game (chief among them being the recent trend in map design and their lack of interest in curbing griefing), but despite that I'm feeling positive with where the game is going.

They 100% read the forum because all it takes is one killer to moan about a 1 in 10,000 situational C-Tier survivor perk on here for it to get nerfed to oblivion for the entire future of the game
