Killers are spamming the mori button to make the bleed out progress bar take longer.
This recently happened to me in my previous match, and I was on the ground as the final survivor being bled out for what felt like eternity. I felt like I was being held hostage at that point because it felt like it was that long to finally bleed me out, it took at least around 10 minutes without picking me up.
This has to be bannable at this point if people have that much time to do this type of stuff, I don't care if the game is 'progressing', this wasted so much of my time and for what? I doubt anyone wants to be bled out for that long, just let me move on.
I could barely crawl to get away because the killer spamming it stops your movement as well, so I was stuck with them doing that to me the entire fricking time.
Can we please add some form of a auto-die button as the final survivor to prevent situations like this from happening again? This was so ridiculous, after 8 years we still lack anything new to make bleeding out less of a struggle to deal with, and now we have to deal with killers being petty as hell by increasing the timer.
(For those who don't understand, if you press the mori button, it also stops the red bar from progressing for some reason, spamming it stops it almost entirely, it still goes, but extremely slowly).

I was under the impression this hasn’t been a thing since like 2016

I never knew killers could do that in the first place until it happened to me.

then i would assume its a bug and not intentional. They changed it at some point so that you couldnt spam the Mori for the reason that you just described
Edit: I guess they only changed it so you couldnt spam the mori animation but now you get the progress bar before which may be interrupted/being spammed so maybe its not a bug but just poorly designed… 😐6 -
If that's the case then I hope it gets patched and anyone who abuses it gets banned for abusing bugs/exploits at this point.

Yeah well, what can you say about this other that this is extremely ######### and mean spirited?!
At one or two occasions I might have started the mori animation and then remembered why I wanted to spare this survivor and broke it off, but thats quite extraordinary; 99.999% of the time, if you start the mori animation, you want to kill the survivor! Maybe give it a hard limit, like 2 failed attempts and the third automatically follows through with the mori.
That you even have to think of such failsafe mechanisms is a testament of the degeneracy of some parts of this community.
I guess that this something that you could bring to bear against that player? But normally you would have video proof of this … if you streamed it, thats awesome, attach the link in your ticket and voila. Otherwise: tough luck, but maybe install OBS or something similar and be ready at a moments notice.

It was extremely petty and it was only wasting their time also, not just mine.
I sadly didn't record it as I didn't even think that it was reportable, but I wish I did now that I know that it's a potential bug that they were abusing. Next time though I will be recording it.

I thought that interaction was removed, maybe get in a custom game and record footage to sumit a ticket? Moris been buggy this update and such an obnoxious interaction just adds to it.

I thought that was removed, though it is certainly an exploit if not. Definitely bannable behavior.

Getting onto that now!

They need to dive into their spaghetti code and fix that. To me, it's simple: don't let the bleed-out timer stop just because of the mori animation. If they die mid-animation, they were dead anyway. I don't care. Just fix it so people stop complaining about it.

Bug report is here:
Status is already "Under Review" so I don't know if voting on it is important anymore but more upvotes gives it more visibility, which likely increases the chances of it getting fixed.

be aware that you have the full right to report killers doing this for holding the game hostage, because they are massively able to extend the initial 4min bleedout timer. Hope BHVR does something about it asap

Pretty sure this was meant to be removed but wouldn't be surprised if that somehow crept its way back when moris are being a little weird at the moment.
Obviously there's absolutely zero reason imaginable for that to be a thing, that kinda goes without saying.

That's bad. I'm amazed at how lame some people can be.
Please fill a bug report about it. Read the pinned post at the top and be very precise in your explanation.
It needs to be fixed before it spreads.
edit: nevermind, it's already there and under review.

There was a patch a year or two where the killer just need to press one single button.
Prior to that, yea, killers could spam the button for lulz. But that seem to return into the game.

Problem here is that the dev need LOG files to take a look.
This bug need to go into "known issues" once the dev learns about it.

I just had a match were I downed the forth survivor and give it a try: I could fill the kill bar up and then let go and start anew. The survivor would slowly crawl like in slow-motion between each startup of the bar. Of course, after a couple of tries I picked the survivor up and let them wriggle off, but it seems that this loophole is not fixed at all and you can extend the dying period by quite some time this way.
