It's a pretty niche perk that barely anyone brings, I think a buff or different affect would go a long way

Considering Freddy is getting reworked specifically to be a stronger killer, I would be shocked if they made his perks worse

It will change every chase theme to 1st of tha Month by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony when equipped

I think it needs a buff. It has one niche and I have gotten value from it sometimes but overall I don't think it's good enough at what it does compared to other endgame perks.

Might do something like:
Added: Reveals the Killers Aura for 4/5/6s after interacting with an Exit Gate Switch for the first time.
(This would trigger even in the event of No Way Out as well).
But it’s use-case rn is still somewhat niche

Wake up and Sole survivor should get nerfed, for the same reason Distortion got nerfed… because they encourage survivors to never interact with the killer. Pretty much every survivor that I've ever seen use Wake up and Sole survivor together, just wait for their teammates to die, so they can try to get a free escape when they are the last survivor alive. BHVR should not be encouraging survivors to commit to anti-teamwork strategies, before a game has even started, where a survivor purposely wants the other survivors to lose, so they can use their perks to escape as the last survivor.

The devs like to give buffs to unused perks, but half the time the buffs rarely change anything.

Well, I suppose if it’ll get changed completely, and if they really want to make it a meta perk:
The first time you are Hooked, you can project yourself onto another Empty Hook within x/y/z meters.
Both you and your projection become Intangible.
Other survivors must perform the “Wake Up” action on either you or the other projection, after which you are unhooked from the position you were woken up from.
(or something else relating to “snapping out” of another position)1 -
Frankly I don't know what they can with it without totally reworking it. Number tweaks are kinda pointless and will just push it to being overpowered or underpowered. I suppose they change it so that ALL survivors can see the exit gates if somebody has it equipped?

Because it only shaves off 4 seconds from an exit gate. It should be buffed to be a 50% speed increase, so it takes about 7 seconds less.

It doesn't need a change, it does exactly what it's supposed to do and it does that with no issues. It's helped so many times in solo q when I can see on the HUD a teammate is being chased and they can see what door I'm opening, they know where to run and other teammates still alive know where to go to help if needed. It has also helped when doors spawn close together on certain maps or when it's a killer that can move between doors quickly, can feel that 25% speed increase in those situations.
I'm worried they'll do something they think is a buff but decide they need to add a downside and end up making the perk worse, like what they did to Calm Spirit.

It's probably going to be a nerf. Didn't Wake Up also have the hidden benefit of waking you up from Freddy's power? That's probably it.
I'd be very surprised if it was something like "Open gates are revealed to all survivors" or if they change the aura reveal from "while opening" to "while near an exit gate switch".

No, Wake Up has never woken you up from Freddy's power. You're thinking of Adrenaline, but they changed it so it wouldn't in a previous patch.
I will be very surprised if they nerf Wake Up - it's usage rate isn't that high, and barely anyone thinks the effect is worth bringing since it's sacrificing a perk slot for an endgame effect that isn't THAT great and only worthwhile in very niche scenarios. Chances are they'll either give it a secondary effect that makes it usable throughout the match, or change how it functions.

Distortion will be getting buffed again in the future. They've caused too many issues and ruined alot of balancing issues with such a strong nerf and no viable counters.

They already said they are gonna make distortion 15 seconds in chase

Distortion will still be chase oriented with the newest change.

Right, they’re just decreasing the amount of time you’ve gotta be in chase to restore tokens from 30 seconds to 15.
