Lowest Event
DEEPL translation is used
With this patch, it is no longer possible to attack simultaneously with lingering spirits and normal attacks, but this can be seen with a little test play.
Management treated it as a problem and fixed it immediately.
When playing Killer, the pace at which generator repairs are completed is so fast that there is no time to go to the void space.
Until now, it made a little sense to go there because you could attack at the same time as the lingering spirits, but with this patch, there is no longer any point in going there.
Also, why did you immediately fix the simultaneous attacks that were possible due to our own fault for not test playing as a problem, but leave the problem of the permanent scar disappearing when the survivor uses the crystal without fixing it?
Lights out was a pretty bad event, but the emptiness event is exactly what the name implies, an emptiness event that is not fun and has nothing to gain.

The M1 + Haunt combo was being exploited, and made killers WAY TOO STRONG, and took away any form of counterplay from the survivors.
That is why it got fixed! Thank God it did.

I see.
It certainly is hard to be deprived of the means to fight back.So what do you think about the problem of the survivor's scars completely disappearing during that ritual when the smoke screen is used?
This is obviously not normal behavior, and from the killer's side, the means of counterattack to pursue the survivor has been taken away, but I would like to hear your opinion.

do you mean the red scratches on the floor? I'm not aware of the scratches disappearing permanently. - If they do disappear permanently, this should be fixed too.

Yes. I mean the red scratches on the floor.
A bug was previously reported where the scratch would permanently disappear after using a smoke screen, but that was never fixed, only the simultaneous attack of the killer was treated as a problem and removed.

If the Haunt was intended for pseudo Exposed status it wouldn’t have included a ranged portion.
The Haunt/M1 combo is a bit jank.
Go ahead and argue that the Killer power this event feels somewhat lackluster. I feel that way given it can’t go over vaults/pallets, nor does a near-miss provide much value apart from a scream (instead of something like revealing survivors Aura for a few seconds).
But it’s not like you’ve suddenly lost the ability to be able to walk or to try and critically think about possible avenues of escape for the survivor. If the Killers Haunt provided an AoE Aura reveal at the end of its path (hit or miss), there you go:
Now you have a tool that can be used to get hits in at range when you otherwise couldn’t, or to counteract the Survivors Smokebomb by chucking it into the smoke and revealing their Aura.

I have heard about that. Survivors no longer creating scratch marks for the rest of the Trial.
But that’s more obviously a bug and not something to seriously consider as intended design. Arguing around it as a serious point is argument in bad faith.

It would be nice if it could penetrate obstacles since it is attacking with ghosts, but as I said, implementing that would be too strong and I don't think it is possible.
Simultaneous attacks would certainly be stronger, but I think that could have been noticed immediately if the management had done a little test play.
However, I am not convinced that starting an event without such test play and treating the usage found by killer players through trial and error as a “problem”.
If there was criticism from many survivors and it was too strong, weakened, etc., I would understand, if not agree, if they explained it with a good reason, instead of using the word “problem”.
I'm afraid that if this is left as it is, all the configurations, standing, techniques, etc. found by killer players will be put away as “problems” in the future.
I understand that the disappearing scar in the smoke screen is a bug.
However, I question the implementation of nerfing only the abilities on the killer's side while leaving such a serious bug unaddressed.I understand the importance of balance adjustments, but I believe that the most important thing is to resolve these serious bugs and create a playable environment.

Well, if the bug is reported I assume bhvr is looking into it. If they can fix the bug before the event is over, is a different issue. If it's a very rare bug (personally, I haven't seen it playing killer or heard about it from friends playing killer) it's probably not very high up on the list of priorities.
Knowing about a problem, that problem being significant enough to warrant a fix and being able to fix the problem are three different things.1 -
There is a bug that sometimes happens with the void crystals. Normally, when shattered they emit this smoke sphere and erase the survivors scratch marks for a while, but when the bug happens, the survivor in question won't leave scratch marks for the rest of the trial, pretty nasty.
It WAS strong in that situation by cutting the chase short, yes, but beforehand the killer had to enter the void, move their phat ass up that stairs and deliver some void energy and come all the way back - three channeling animations and lots of traverse time that could very easily translate of up to 1min of gen time or even more being deleted; the alternative being that the killer only enters the void when they are already winning or killed off two survivors.
The void is SUCH a devastating and huge timesink for killers, that the ability they got should at least be somewhat worth the effort … but it isn't, and now even less then before. In theory this is okay, its "just" a goofy little event - but survivors most of the time don't slack and go easy on the killers either, so its just as sweaty, if not more so, then ever.
While it felt "unfair" and "uncounterable" that the killer could 1-2-tap you with the clever application of a hunt, they already paid upfront for that chance by wasting an extraordinary amount of time in the void. The void time isn't equal and every second spend there is painfully felt by the killer.
Now I don't see any incentive to actually going there, unless the game is already in my pocked. And thats a pretty sad event, when one side of the party isn't allowed to play.

Eh, I’ve had some nice portal spawns that were right next to cross-map generators. Let me patrol with fewer double-backs.
