What could be done to a perfect perk like Scene Partner that's not a nerf?
Nicolas Cage is one of dbds most powerful survivors. There's no way this man is getting a flat buff.
Scene Partner isn't popular but it has a dedicated fan base who swears by it. Buffing it with Eyes of Belmont sounds like a disaster.
Sooo it has to be a nerf..but I'm lost as to what could change without killing the love and soul that went into Nic? Were all the Screaming Steves simply too powerful?
I didn't want to make a post but I can't stop thinking about Nicolas Cage when I should be working right now.

What if it only activated when starting chase instead of when looking at the killer in the terror radius? Keep the screaming part that makes it funny, but it wouldn't actively sabotage you anymore and would give you useful aura reading at the beginning of chases. Keep the cooldown the same.

I was thinking on that

I could see them doing something where scene partner no longer interrupts player actions, considering that's a common complaint of the perk. No more getting kicked out of vaults mid animation or being forced to miss flashlight saves due to screams would be a wonderful change that would make me run the perk more.

That would probably be the best possible change without really changing anything.
However, that's still a flat buff imo. Having essentially a "99d Aura Burst " sounds more consistent and less deadly than current "treat every killer as if they are Ghostface".
I honestly think how unwieldly and dangerous is what's kept this perk balanced; it saves, but it kills! It kills but it saves lol
Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe we get a nice buff to a perk i thinks insane and I'll live happily ever after. I dare to dream

Doing that would certainly make the perk less fun, I run the perk for the meme-value. Those random screams across the maps are funny for both sides when the killer is just minding his business.

Maybe screams not stopping you from doing actions.

Biggest thing is screams not interrupting your actions. Otherwise an activated ability

Well, they could make the scream reveal the survivors location (scream bubble) if making it reveal the aura with few interrupts is too powerful.

Removing the interrupting actions wouldn't make the perk less fun. If anything, it would make survivors use the perk as you're no longer interrupted when doing a specific action.
It sucks when you're in chase, you're about to vault, the scream interrupts said vault, and you're stuck in an animation similar to Doctor shocking you. If it would be removed, I would use it in my builds. Until that's changed, I more than likely will never use the perk.

It interrupts vaults? That hasn't happened to me yet

There's many videos on YouTube and I've been affected with it once they changed it to interrupt actions, since then I haven't touched the perk.
