How is it possible to earn a Platinum Trophy 🏆 when new content is added?
On PlayStation 5, it says you can earn the platinum trophy by collecting all the trophies.
But how is this possible as every new character/chapter gets new challenges and adepts?

I can't say for sure if it has changed as I haven't really trophy hunted for a long time, but I'm pretty sure any achievements added post-launch don't count towards Platinum? Platinum isn't always the same as 100% achievements done.

For Playstation games, the Platinum trophy is for the base game achievements only, DLC has its own DLC trophies in a separate category 😉

I got this one against a Huntress back in 2019. It was an interesting game.

Huntress... was she attempting long shots a lot?
I attempted it every time I got on the map, and I succeeded against a Ghost Face and new Nurse... but both times the killer quit and denied it me...
I finally got it against a Pig who must have been fairly new... she caught Cheryl at the end and trapped as I popped the 5th gen, leaving her a activated trap and putting her in basement… my team got her unhooked, and I thought briefly about waiting to give her a chance to save herself... but I'd been robbed twice already, so like a coward I opened the gate and ran... the guilt still haunts me to this day. I got the trophy... but at what cost? 😭😭😭😭

Hahaha, I would have done the same, my friend. I must admit I left a teammate behind to get the "Outrun the Overlap" achievement. I hope they forgave me.

Iirc she didn't see me at all during the match. My teammates must've kept her occupied.

Hehehe, that was what happened to me vs. The Nurse and Ghost Face... clearly your Huntress had more integrity than mine xD
Outrun the Overlap, Garden of Joy eh? A map that tormented me for ages was Toba Landing... for whatever reason, whenever I wasntvthe one to repair the central gen, I escaped... whenever I did repair it... I died... was about 2 months before I finally got it 😶
Cowardice is acceptable when trophy's are on the line… especially when it comes to slugging for the 4k. If I see a killer adept do it, I don't even get mad... it's like "fair enough that man" xD

This is correct. I had to get the platinum again when I got my PS5 a couple of years ago. Its only for the base game. Not any of the DLC chapters.

Toba Landing? Yeah, that one wasn't easy for me either. Honestly I prefer to play on that map when I'm killer.
As for adepts, I can understand doing whatever you can to get them. But it is funny the way they used to work in the past, when "Merciless" didn't require a 4k. When I got my adept Huntress, the last survivor escaped through the hatch :)

It's doable, especially if you rush the new achievements every time they drop. Hand-Eye Coordination is a nightmare to get currently but it was way easier if you played shortly after Vecna's release.
It took me years but I was able to do it, I'm sure you can too!
(Console Skilled Huntress is a nasty one though, I hope you REALLY like Huntress)

I got lucky and got both Hemophobia and Left For Dead in 2017 by chance. I was a new player and had no idea what was going on lol.
Left for Dead was probably one of my most memorable games from back then though. I was Bill on Resting Place against a clearly brand new Huntress. I was able to complete both gens and open the exit gate undetected.
The reason why it was so memorable is because it was the first time I heard her sing in that lower and creepier pitch... Huntress back in the day would stop singing when she entered chase, and would instead breathe really heavily. Once the chase ended the lullaby would start over. I was genuinely terrified lol
EDIT: Oh and to maybe answer the question of "why didnt you just look for hatch?". Hatch would only show up once 2 gens were completed.

I got Hand-Eye Coordination two days ago, did one hell of an effort to survive that match.
I don't even want to get all of the achievements, but I just couldn't let the opportunity slide.
Funnily enough, my trial where I got the Left for Dead achievement was against a Huntress :)
But it was on Midwich, instead of Azarov's.

That's awesome, and that's a pretty awesome detail with Huntress singing as well... very immersive... any idea why that was changed? Cause that sounds awesome....
Left for Dead I've gotten the condition for twice in all my time of playing, and both times came from me thinking "you know what? Sod it... I'm just gonna repair the gen and take my chances instead if hatch".
Both times the killer found me just after repairing it, and both times they let me go, I think as a sign of respect for having the balls to repair the gen as the last man xD

I wonder if they could reasonably bring back the "no lullaby in chase" thing now that we have chase indicators in the HUD?

I dont even remember when it was changed... my guess is some time when they made her lullaby non directional..? but even then I cant remember when they did that.
Guess Huntress is just the go to for getting that achievement huh lol

Ive been wanting for it to come back for years now, since itd make more sense for her to have it now that Beast of Prey gives Undetectable

Also a PS5 user and it's just as others have said, you only need the base game for the Platinum. Everything else is just for the 100% which will take ages if you plan to do that.
The Plat isn't too difficult but it is grindy for sure.0 -
I gave up trying to keep my 100% achievements on Steam with this game because they keep adding DLC.
I like to try to get the 100% achievement for games but once I have done them I don't want to have to keep doing it because they keep adding more
