I am very sure there was a Cosmetic which was only 1 AC.
EDIT: And I cannot find what the culprit is. But I also have a 9 at the end of my AC-count, so there has to be something.

I had to go through my announcement thread history, but that one was 1 iri shard. Or a single digit amount, anyway. Same for Vittorio’s jester hat. Dwight’s propeller hat was an auric cell purchase bonus, so that couldn’t be it either.
I can’t find what the actual culprit is in my threads, though.

Honestly I can't think of anything that costed 1 auric cell. I'm pretty sure we would have seen a bunch of people complaining in social media about spending money to buy 500 auric cells just to get whatever was 1 auric cell.

Some skins when are on sale don't end with a 0 or a 5, so maybe a combination of purchases caused the count to end on 9

Yeah, this is it. I thought that one April Fools Item would have been 1 AC, but I guess what you said would also be the reason why this never happened. People would get mad of missing out a cosmetic piece, because they would not want to buy 500 ACs for an Item which only costs 1 AC.

Id like to add to this and say the Weekly Developer Choice Bundles also could be the cause since their pricing is inconsistent and can vary depending on what items are in the bundle and what items you might own discounting the bundle.
1461 Auric Cells (for me) in this case. Auric Cell Bundles normally have extra Auric Cells so it could be that purchasing a bundle with the extra (and/or buying Auric Cell packs and using that amount directly) resulted in an odd ending number.

Could be! I bought a couple of charms bundles where I already owned a couple of charms, so this could explain the odd auric cells :P
