What's the Situation with the New Chapters Official Map?
So the PTB for chapter 34 came out with a great map that won't be featured with the official chapter release. The year 9 roadmap says that this chapter will come out with a map, however. I read somewhere that it was gonna be a variant of the swamp kind of like the case of shelter woods but I haven't found anything officially to support this. So does anyone know if this is true, or if this chapter is even getting a new map at all. Any specifics that can be said about how the map will look if a new map is being added with this chapter?

I’m just speculating here, but I find it curious that the little marketing this chapter did recieve was all set in a swamp.
Makes me wonder whether this chapter was supposed to come with the swamp realm beyond update.
It’s also odd how there is a new map in the PTB, but it’s not releasing with the chapter, instead seemingly coming with the winter event. An out-of-the-blue map drop like that hasn’t been seen since Grim Pantry.

The lights in the background of the thumbnail look like the lights of a sailing ship. I feel like there was supposed to be a new Backwater Swamp map that would have been set on a swampy coastline with the Houndmaster's ship moored on the shore, or something like that.
But there's no map…

There was a new map on the PTB, but it was set in the Ormond realm. Ormond Lake to be more specific

I said it before in another thread but I speculate BHVR is struggling internally. Or perhaps not necessarily struggling, but some changes are happening behind the scenes that are affecting their usual workflow. Peanits stepping down as CM recently might be a sign of this for all we know.
I will say it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that we got basically 0 marketing for this chapter considering the people who did the All Things Wicked marketing were laid off.

It kinda looks to me like it might just be the Pale Rose. Maybe an updated version in a Swamp rework?
I’m guessing they chose Swamp to represent her because it has a giant ship on it.
The 2024 roadmap only listed one map in December this year so it looks like Ormond is the only new map we are getting and it isn’t tied to any chapter. So we aren’t getting a new Swamp map this year from the looks of it.

I am guessing they are busy figuring out how to make it as small as possible while still including room to fit 5 players, one pallet and 20 hooks.

Imma speculate the new Ormond map was closer to ready than the possible new Swamp one was and/or had something moderate that needed fixing up first.
