Mine is since 2003, I feel old, but I don't feel old for games and I love when hurt toxic kiddos telling me that I'm kid etc. when even my acc is older then them.

Us oldies don't have the twitch reflexes but we have the Art of War under our belt

Never too old.
I don't think he is really that offended by it. Let the older folks have some fun.

I don't care about the comment, I was thoroughly bemused that my age could be an angle of BM. I didn't have the heart to tell them that my daughter is 33, I'll answer with "don't you have chores" in future.

I read somewhere a few years ago that the average age for gamers (at least people who when surveyed listed gaming as one of their primary hobbies) was 31, and that number was likely to go up.
Years and years ago it wasn't as "acceptable" for adults to game, but as times have changed and games gotten more diverse and nuanced, that has changed considerably.
Plus, as others have mentioned, gaming actually helps the brain as we age. I know I have no intention of ever stopping.

No age is too old to play games. Too young, yes, but too old?? No. That is just a sore loser.
Also if that were the case then no one at nursery homes would be playing bingo, sudoku, puzzles or any games.
Edit: I just checked mine and it says 2020, which means everyone who "loses" does so to a 4 year old with that logic 😂

For sure. Later Gen X was the first generation to really grow up on video games. I'm also in that range, and my whole life I've been working, reading, playing sports, or gaming.
I also think people playing games until they die is going to be the norm going forward. Technology is becoming embedded in all phases of life, and games are no different.
Not only that, but I think outside of certain games that require really quick fast twitch (which I do not consider DBD to be), "older" gamers aren't an worse than the under 25 set. My heyday when it comes to fighting games is over, but I feel like I can hang with most people in just about any other genre of game.
And when talking about DBD specifically, not only is it not technically demanding, but I'm not sure how you have a game with a bunch of the icons of 70's and 80's horror and not expect a bunch of middle aged people to be playing it, lol.
And like anything else, there's a trade off in that what you lose in some areas, you gain in experience (call it general game sense).

I bought a Nintendo Switch and a copy of Animal Crossing for my elderly mother, and she's having a great time. Computer games are no different from films or books.
I'd rather be the person having fun, rather than being the person sat there cringing at others. The former is having a good time, and the latter is just announcing their own insecurities to anyone that walks by.

I remember both my dad and my stepdad being into gaming when I was a kid. I even went with my stepdad early morning when they released the steering wheel for Gran Turismo on the PS1 and watching him race against all the other adults to get one 🤣 adults have always played video games, I wonder if the older generation just liked to deny it out of embarrassment while we (millennials and gen z) embrace it

13. Gaming is for googoo gaga babies. /s
Of course, being serious, there is no age limit to playing games. It's for everyone. No different than books or movies.

My uncle made a deal with a bar owner to take the old tabletop Space Invader game as long as he did the towing. It is still going strong.
