Is BHVR planning to address the sheer swarm of cheaters?
I'd say a good quater of my games have people either xraying or speedhacking. More when I play killer but I had distortion go off yesterday for a slinger who didn't have any aura perks or add-ons.

It's gotten worse there is also a gen hack. I really believe since the last update to nerf distortion and the finisher mori we are left with very few players that play fairly. I really think the majority is SWF's and cheaters at this point.

Your're spot on, and BHVR can't be bothered to report them either. They ignore every single one of my emails when i do ticket reports.

It's not really a problem isolated to BHVR at this point. The industry decided invasive rootkits i.e. EAC were the way to go, but it turns out they're fairly easy to circumvent. Nobody wants to foot the bill for server-side checks, and you continuously have to develop those. Effective anti-cheat is costly. Bean counters would rather just drop support for entire operating systems a la Apex with Linux. Have to remember that the gaming industry is run by clowns. The developers themselves are just doing what they're told.

I honestly find this very hard to believe. It's been a very, very long time since I've seen an obvious cheater. If it's happening this frequently, why don't you record you matches so 1) you can report and 2) show us some examples and the forum members can help determine if people really are cheating based on your video evidence.

Next time I come across it and I'm recording I'll do that. I used to record and send it but bhvr doesnt deem it 'enough evidence'

Matchmaking data already goes over HTTPS. It's already encrypted. Not going to go much further because I have a feeling I'd get bopped by the ban hammer, but their method is vulnerable.

The amount of teleports I see on a regular basis is staggering. My most recent report had someone teleporting on top of the shack building and shining their flashlight into the sky like some sort of main event spotlight.
The most common one i see is immunity cheating where you can get someone multiple times, but they don't take damage states. Ya got speed cheaters zooming around, teleporte, run straight through dropped pallets without having to slide across them, instant self heals, and so on. I probably have at least one of these every 3 matches or so.

Arw you guys sure it isn't the resent desync problems since the last update? I had people teleport a lot but I never suspected them cheating tbh
But yeah we are in the Golden age of cheating :(

I'm certain, I screenshare most of my games to my gf and she's always pointing out if someone seems fast. Usually an anoymous Lara Croft too lmao.

I'm relieved it's not just me getting them so frequently, but at the same time it's really demotivating to play. The only issue is does BHVR care, because it feels like they don't.

Tying engine.ini to the account and storing it server side would be a start. Generate a hash value and pass the file to the client when the client starts. Hash value changes=ban.

I can tell desync issues. Most of the time it looks as if the character is having a seizure. I am getting mostly speed hacks and GPS. I have only seen a few teleporting too.
Also I have noticed I am lagging in the game a lot but I think that's desynching. I'm holding my arms out a lot and getting hit through solid objects lol.
