So many people are DCing
Every match in 2v8 someone DCs max I've seen is two because they went down or I guess someone went down before the first gen went off and no its not their connection because I'm not seeing that red bar. Seriously if your going to DC during a game mode then don't play it and go back to normal matches.

More people dc in regular mode than 2v.8 in my experience. So if you you're telling the DCers to go back to the regular mode they're just going to DC there.

I guess entitled people are still entitled no matter how easy you make the mode.

I mean yeah but I think it's just one of those things that I'll never understand. Why DC when you haven't gone down the match just start and someone went down not even you so why DC. I think it's also just been so many times it's started to bug mainly a match where a teammate was AFK the entire match i got about six hooks and not kidding last gens pops and they get replaced by a bot. Overall it just kinda was bugging me a lot during the day seeing constant DCs.

At least they leave a bot behind since they can't give up on first hook like on regular mode. Much better like that. I wish DBD would get rid of giving up on hook as a whole.

That means getting rid of attempt to escape which also need to re-work Slippery meat and Deliverance. But there's always a work around.

And that's exactly what I am suggesting: get rid of attempts to escape and instant death on missed skillchecks. The 4% mechanic is extremely outdated anyway and ruins thousands of matches every day only to rarely, RARELY lead into something fun or a different outcome at all. It's just not worthy keeping.
And reworking Deliverance is simple: just make so Deliverance, Slippery Meat and Wicked unlock a self-unhook action, similar to how the anti-facecamp mechanic does it. The only that would need more details changed would be Slippery, but that can be arranged. Up the ante could just get completely reworked into something different, since that perk is crap anyway.

People will just stand and point at the hook, chase the killer, throw every pallet on the map, miss every skill check, or do something else to be useless.
If the main reasons people are giving up on hook are that the survivor experience is terrible, making it worse solves nothing.
I've never seen so many people on this forum who are genuinely advocating for "the beatings will continue until morale improves"

At some point players have to take responsibility for their own actions. The DC penalty forces players into that responsibility. And I’m glad it does because loading into the match with the intent of having everything go your way just to DC when it doesn’t shows a deep misunderstanding of what Dbd is all about.
The match is never over until it’s over in Dbd. Anything can happen.
