Better Gaming chair confirmed
I know I'm probably treading on very thin ice again if I report this here, but I took extra care to remove all names from the video.
Footage is from October 25th, 2024. So again very current.
I will soon post a collected post with all the recordings from the last 7 years. There are many people who have played for a long time and have never experienced anything like this. always amazing.
Is there already a plan as to whether a server-side validation will be added to the pvp game Dead by daylight in the next few years in order to get the problem under control? Feedback from other players would also be welcome.

Makes you wonder why there are no server, or post game checks to prevent this.

Clearly you just need to git gud /jk
And yea, that is pretty amazing. I actually haven't seen this level of tomfoolery before.

I think what makes the issue worse to deal with is that the game was originally coded as the killer is the host, very much like KYF is, back before dedicated servers were added. But that underlying code remains at the root of matches.

Skill issue. You should have done a triple back flip into spin kick to knock out the killer.

What am I missing here?

I need a new gaming chair...

Killer is literally teleporting around, instantly hooking, instantly downing and picking up in time that isn't possible.
Short answer, he's hacking. Not "potentially hacking", he's definitely hacking.

Honestly should've played better. /s

There have been many discussions in the past about thorough server-side validation and game recording.
The devs certainly know the concept. So either it's too difficult to implement in the current code, either they don't consider it a priority.
…
Or maybe they are doing it already and delay-banning these guys to cast a wider net.

This is one of the so called "Terminator Bots". Around 2020 when the hacker group(s) started getting serious money from this game we encountered the first ones. They are scripted to: teleport to a survivors location > insta-down them > pick up > teleport to a hook > hook > go back to 1.
As for the server-sided validation part … I don't think there is a point of discussing how much the whole "it's an arms' race" talk of anti-cheat has become a meme.
Or that multiple accounts of the same person being banned for cheating isn't considered a reason to blacklist and hardware ban them for life.
Or the Epic Games fiasco with the thousands of botted accounts still being distributed and used by hackers that make, sell and advertise these programs …
The recent survey had a single option inbetween many others about "which of these features do you think should be prioritized for the game?" And it was "improving the base of the game to allow for anti-cheat upgrades" of shorts. Good luck to all of us if it is ever considered a priority 5 years past the server implementation.4 -
It's funny, because these kinda thing isn't that uncommon, meanwhile I haven't been able to accesst Dead by Daylight and other games with Easy Anti Cheat for 24 hours just because EAC has decided it doesn't want to open so I can repair it.
Wait, did I say funny, I meant infuriating.

Or its a terminator bot, which can be common for hackers who want to just farm BP…which makes no sense because it's too efficient even to get the maximum amount of BP from the match. Sometimes you can get lucky and make the bot AI wig out if you jump into a locker, because for some reason they can't compute lockers, but that's if you're quick enough and lucky enough not to be found first.

I've been playing the game since 2018 and I've now given up hope that usable cheat protection / server validation will actually come into play.
There were cheaters back then, but not as regularly. It also seems that the number of cheaters who show it blatantly is lower these days than those who do it subtly, as people get away with it without consequences.
And seriously speaking, it's quite a disgrace if, after so many years, there is still no serious cheat protection / server validation and it is still a low priority. If something is wrong with the in-game job, you can bet it will be fixed within a few hours. I couldn't deliver such quality to my customer otherwise I wouldn't have the job for 2 weeks. Unfortunately a fact.

I had a Spirit that did this, and I also got a 5-minute DC penalty after the game, even though I didn't disconnect. Also I genuinely don't get the point of bots like this in DBD.

yes, exactly. I also had the 5-minute DC penalty after the game.

The locker didn't save me from one of these bots, it just teleported to my locker and the locker instantly puked me out onto the ground dying. I was then picked up and teleported to the basement for hooking.

Just looks like an average solo que lobby to me
