I know BHVR is using Cheap Amazon GameLift Virtual Cloud Base servers BUT….. I'm not sure what's going on tonight but every game I've had everyone's ping has been really high, like in the 100+ to 200+ ping…… I know it not my internet because I can do a speedtest and my ping is from 15 to 20ms……. So BHVR what is going on?????

Most of the time my ping is 40ms in game and other survivors are from 40 to 80ms BUT not tonight……

Nothing cheap about AWS instances at the scale BHVR is running. I would wager their AWS bill is well over $500k/yr before you even get into the licensing costs with Docker and whatnot. It's probably not the containers themselves causing the ping issues. Anything that routes traffic to and from the datacenter could cause this.

Sending an ICMP packet to a speed test application won't tell you anything about your connection to the AWS instance the game is running on.

500$ that is still cheap…… BHVR needs to change the servers there using….. I've done a lot of test's it's not my internet….. I was playing yesterday and my ping was 40 to 50ms in game then today high as all hell…… Like when it hit the 666ms I couldn't hardly do anything….. BHVR is not really small company anymore they have over 1300+ employees plus Studios in Montreal, Toronto, Seattle, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands…… They need to get stuff fixed with 60 million players they have the money to fix things….

BHVR has an AWS server in Montreal, I don't know why they won't use it. It would help so many Canadians here dealing with bad ping.
