Normal dead by daylight is terrible and boring
dead by daylight will always be a flawed game because not the developers but the people who play it. No matter how good or bad (most of the time) the lobby is the players make it terrible. Camping, tunneling, teammates afk or just bad etc. 2v8 is the only thing keeping the game fun and alive but sadly devs don’t wanna make it a permanent game mode cause they know more people will play it than their core mode 😭. Basically all I'm saying is make 2v8 permanent and stop making terrible killer and stick to normal m1 killers. The game is more fun when it’s casual not competitive (which is what people have saying for years.

Here's the thing: m1 killers are just bad for the most part and on top of that boring to play, there's a reason why most of the strongest if not all of them in tierlists have strong powers. You'd have to buff m1 killers massively to make it any viable to play them, otherwise close to every new and a lot of the old maps would be absolutely impossible to play on.
(I'd also find it boring to play against btw, m1 killers feel mostly the same because well... they can m1 and most of the time some utility things that don't make it as different xD )
But I agree that 2vs8 would be fun to have as a permanent mode, maybe weekly or monthly changing the killers that you can play.
They'd also have to look at the comeback mechanic: it's really brutal how fast gens are because of that, you lose more often than not because you hook too quickly than because the survivors are too good. The only thing you can do is slugging, but survivors also hate that so it's lose lose for both sides xD

Because they know that if 2v8 was permanent no casual survivors would ever play 1v4 again.

Not just casual survivor players. Killers as well.
I personally would instantly shift to 2v8 if it where made permanent and I could play Piggy and Sadako.

yup then the same premade builds over and over again would get boring as hell and then you would complain about that too. people dont understand what they ask for lol make it perm kill normal 1v4 with queques that take so long it times us out. Then when you play it for a month 2v8 is so boring allow us to make our builds then it just becomes 1v4 x2.

I don't think you understand why I prefer 2v8 over 1v4.

They also seems to vastly over estimate the perk variety the majority of the player base runs and how much it actually changes how the game is played.

Make 2v8 permanent, at least in its current state, and the knock on effects it causes will kill DBD entirely. Not straight away but it'll happen.

If all they ever released was weak m1 killers, I'd probably quit the game. No thanks.

The thing is, in any social online game, there’s the possibility to be paired with people that will give up, have sub-par skills, mess around or simply troll. There’s no fix in that and that’s not developers fault.
On the other side tho, killers are judged when they play to win. Strategies like tunneling, slugging and protecting hooks, evolved from the current balance that exists within the core of the game, and thousands of hours of gameplay. When survivors play at a competent level (which is the standard from where you should balance a game) they have such high efficiency, that killers lack the ability to play “nice”, at least if they are trying to win. Killers are people too, and they shouldn’t just provide survivors with entertainment and fun, they should also be capable of aspiring to become good and win games. There’s no denying that some strategies are not fun for survivors, but neither is losing a game in one chase. I think what we need is to take a look at items, perks, and add ons and try to slow down the game a little bit, reward players for trying new things, give them in game objectives that actually feel rewarding and provide fun for both sides. The vast majority of people are not playing to annoy, they are playing to win and in such scenario, there’s no denying that survivors can be incredibly fast in ending a game.
There are a lot of killers that need to be updated, revisited or reworked, they are just not on par with the strongest ones (which are 3). Game balance is what needs to be revisited, adding a mode that strips all the depth is not it.2vs8 offers momentary fun at the cost of over simplifying the game. There’s no depth, not a huge deal of strategy, nothing that provides long lasting sense of achievement. If 2 vs 8 made it forever, it would mean that players want to strip the game from what it made it successful for almost 9 years now.
