Houndmaster not so good atm? So better not to buy the chapter yet ?

I have heard that the Houndmaster is not so good yet atm. I actually wanted to buy the Chapter but should I wait?
Have you already got it? and if yes, why?

I got her with shards because I've wanted a hunter with a dog for a really long time. She's really rough atm but I'm slowly picking up on how she actually works. She's not good but I think it might take a minute until we figure out her potential, in reality it's just the difference of her being B or C tier but that difference is fairly significant imo. I think she's going to see more buffs regardless though.

She's awfully clunky and feels like a very worse version of Knight, took me 5 games to realize you have to be on a very specific axis co-ordinate to have the dog go to generators, a pixel too high or low and your stuck with a very short search range which i don't understand completly why the range is capped. Haste from the search line doesnt linger, which really sucks since it works with a momentum build up effect and with how small the line is it's really easy to loose that speed, not to mention the dog takes the weirdest routes that make the speed invalid since it would of been faster to just hold straight to where you wanted to go. Dog's search radius doesnt seem to function, it's meant to get bigger over time but i've only ever seen it reveal survivors that are right next to the dog. Chase Function just feels miserable, get's stuck on so many things, the duration to redirect the Chase is shorter than a Nurse chain blink so alot of the time you just don't get to when you want to, the chase line also is very misleading as the dog won't actually curve the majority of the time and just will go straight. Both action's also require your dog to return to you before it starts recharging which just outright feels bad as theres no way to cancel a search command. When i say return btw it has to be touching you, if it's lingering a little behind it wont recharge the power. Shes awfully map dependant as well, the more cluttered the worse, get an indoor map and your screwed as you now have no power.
Short version, want to play something clunky and buggy and feel frustrated that literally any other killer would be a better pick right this moment, then Houndmaster is for you. Hopefully shes gets a hard Quality of Life update.

I am enjoying her a lot but yeah she needs more work still.

Right now survivors having the time of their lifes, dancing on my nose and laughing their behinds off, while they "ggez" with their 4E. Didn't get a single kill with her so far, not to speak of a 4K with her adept loadout.

She is quite weak, but the most concerning aspect is all the bugs. I suggest waiting to see if she receives bug fixes and possibly a quality-of-life update(s) before purchasing her.

I tested her on the PTB and I really didn't like her. It's not even that I hate playing her. She's just not very interesting to me and the visual design is not that great either. They could have made her pretty damn terrifying, if they went a bit more in the direction of body horror.
I'll probably buy her with shards at some point, just for the perks but I'm really not interested in playing her right now.

She's got some bugs to work out... You can still play her if ya want, but personally I'm going to wait til they iron out the bugs before messing with her again.

I don't think body horror is necessary, she just needs a more intimidating and piratey outfit. She's a little too glitzy, I think it hurts what's there without adding much to compensate.
Though if the Entity literally is a worm in her brain then they should play that up a little more in that scar on her face.

Right now - her power feels pretty clunky. I'd wait for the first hot-fix, if I was you.

She's broken/clunky/unreliable as well as undertuned. She might feel decent against survivors that don't look behind them but against survivors that know how to play against her, she's very easy to avoid.
In this state it's not a killer i will play for much longer. I gave her another try and my opinion just got worse.0
