You think for the push for chests in recent chapter perks they would add more to the trial

There’s only 3 chests in the entire trial. If everyone ran a different chest perk like for example

surv 1 pharmacy

This guy takes 1/3


surv 2 moment of glory

This guy takes 2/3


surv 3 specialist

this guy is taking all of them

suv4 ace in the hole

This guy also plans on opening chests.


even if two survs brought MOG their wouldn’t be a enough chests. Draculas perk that relies on chests isn’t good without more chests. I know there are coins survivors could bring but I think it’s time to add more chests to a trial by default . Maybe 6?

    I'd like more chests by default, and generally hate the way offerings work, but two points

    1: Survivor perks running into each other is an inevitable design element. Lots of perks become redundant / a waste if another survivor is also running it.

    2: There's a lot about the way that perks have been coming out that makes it look like the designers play a different game than we do. In concept, chests should be a benefit to survivors, but many survivors consider them a trap that is just a time waster. I think the devs are worried about making chests 'too strong', but their starting point on chest strength is a lot different than the community.

    I know that if all Survivors bring a shiny coin which adds +2 chests and if the Killer brings Hoarder another +2 chests that max amount of chests can be 13 Total chests.

    I think they should retire all coin offerings. And make make Shiny coin Basekit into a perk like Plunderers. Or make every Survivor perk that has something to do with opening chests to spawn one additional chest into the trial max of 2.

    The same for Human Greed. Make it spawn two additional chests like hoarder but make it where the Killer can only spawn a max of two so they can't spawn +4 if they run it with Hoarder

    There should be at least 4 chests at base, 1 for each survivor.

    I agree, imo there should be 5 or 6 chests by default.

    This is definitely a valid concern though, the killer object spawns should take priority, having chest spawns mess with them is bad.

    Can we please stop pushing chests as a relevant mechanic? I'm begging you, devs. The search time from 8 seconds to 10 was excellent. We don't need anymore. It's just useless side objectives that's a beginner's trap. You get survivors as teammates who would otherwise be decent on gens, and the moment they see a chest, their intelligence and strategy turns off, and they just do it, even if they already have an item or could have brought one in. We saw this constantly in 2v8. It's a beginner's trap.

    I think they design maps with 13 chest spawns since survivors can all bring coins and killer can bring hoarder. What they need to do is change the coins to accommodate 6 chests in a trial or Better yet remove coin offerings for human greed can get a buff and have 2 chests spawn. Leading for a maximum 10 chests a trial. They even have 3 extras spaces to add chest adding abilities to other perks or something

    Best choice would be max chest spawns with the locations heavily weighted towards killer powers. So ten to thirteen chests in a trial but killer like sadako and Alien have priority towards gens for their powers. And then make it so that killers power are almost always in the best areas or main area where the chest used to spawn.

    pharmacy boosts opening time to 4 seconds. it's hardly beginner trap when you get guaranteed self-healing on every chest open. it's not something that anyone is talking about but SWF right now can burn like 4 chest offerings and have 1 person run pharmacy. he can open all chests and now all those chests are now circle of healing med-kits. Like you don't even need any other perk.

    SWF healing is kinda broken. 1 perk investment = infinity self-healing for entire team. you need burn chest offering but i feel like these offering are rarely used… survivors have like 100's of these if they're p100.
