This is proof of how bad designed Invocation: Treacherous Crows is.
In this video he got very little value from Invocation: Treacherous Crows even with calm spirit he barely got any value.
This strongly proves how weak Invocation: Treacherous Crows is and how completely it fails in its purpose.
The only purpose I see for Invocation: Treacherous Crows besides this perk being designed to be forgotten is a hard mod, literally this perk is a true hard mod (harmful to your team - injured and broken for the rest of the trial with no compensation at all).

Its so weak and situational. It needs to be buffed. Personally I think it should work throughout the whole map and not just in the terror radius

As a survivor, my main concern about this perk is that, with one survivor in the basement and not doing gens, it puts a lot of pressure on their teammates to pick up the slack. I mean, it's a 1v3 at that point. The thing about invocations is that it doesn't much matter if you can see the aura of the killer or the gens are a bit easier to finish if everybody is on death hook or dead.
As a killer, I am delighted and love this perk. Five stars, highly recommend.

It really only provides value to prevent chases on ~most killers, so as they make their way to your gen they might scare a crow with you on the edge of their TR and give you a location of where they are coming from. Its extremely niche and just not meant for chases at all in its current state, if it was it would be when the survivor scares a crow not when the killer scares a crow.

it is like worse then no mither. what they expect you to do with this perk is have swf run
Calm spirit, Object of obsession+Eye of belmont+Scene partner x3.
One guy brings this invocation and you stack all aura reading perks. it is a lot of wall-hack at loops but it is not worth the amount of perk slot investment for it and it is SWF only thing.

Changes I would make: -
- Aura read is 1/2/3s for simplicity. 2 is unnecessarily short. 3s gives you some look around time.
- Aura reveal when killer disturbs a crow in terror radius or when in chase (for Oblivious sufferers).
- Survivors disturbing crows reveals that survivors aura for 1/2/3s.
- Oblivious for the Invoker instead of Broken.
- Allow different Invocations to be done at the same time on the same or multiple players.
- Invocations have a charge up on the perk slot (similar to token charges) that increases with current progress rate while performing the Invocation (multipliers for multiple players included). A player must have been present for a minimum of 50 charges (out of 60) of the invocation to trigger their equipped Invocation, otherwise they must peeform a separate Invocation. (This allows 2 or more players to split the invocations between them, but the additional players have 10 seconds maximum to join the Invocation before they lose the chance)
This gives us some interesting potential for invocations where you can stack up different debuffs on one player, or split them between your team. You can get a bunch of powerful team buffs, but they all come with significant debuffs/downsides for the person who actually makes the sacrifice for the Invocation.
People will.probably say these changes are too weak, but personally, I would happily use this during a Corrupt Intervention start, and be quite happy to take it on occasion in general.

Funny how it has so many drawbacks and the reward is just a less consistent Blood Amber Key.
• 60 second activation time (if your teammates aren't interested in helping you #########)
• Permanent Broken (Why???)
• Terror radius based
• Oblivious, Blindness and Undetectable all counter it (fully or partially)
• Luck based (random crow spawns)
• 101 ways it can go wrong (troll teammates, screaming perks, aura perks, dumb luck)
The only upside over a key? All survivors see the aura. Only useful in solo Q since SWF can just let eachother know.

If that's the case they would have put another requirement which is not revealing the killer's aura during the chase, at which point why would anyone use this perk? Wiretrap does this better, Kindred with the aura range increased to 32 meters does this better, and all of these perks reveal the killer's aura to all survivors.

Maybe it's useful when you're trying to stealth and the killer is patrolling an objective. But that might be only in theory. For some reason, seems like the majority of crows are on the edge of the maps now.

Invocations are dead in the water and niche by design, I think the only change Treacherous needs is to make the downside different since it just works on crows scattered around the map. I was thinking permanent Blindness or Oblivious for the Invoker instead of Broken. That's really all the perk needs.

Invocations are dead in the water and niche by design.
I don't think so, in my opinion the problem with Invocations perks and even Boon perks is that the developers follow the "one size fits all" principle and this made these perks have little use or even some of it are dead, they really need to abandon this principle, I mean look at Scourge Hook perks and some Hex perks became better when they abandoned this principle.

Theres no need to put in that stipulation because it almost never happens and allows some synergy to use it outside its niche but it doesn't let you do it easily.

That was a fun Hen's video but this is one perk that needs no proof of how bad it is. I don't think anyone is arguing this is a good perk, hell I don't think anyone would even argue it's a mediocre perk.
I still think they should cut the TR requirement and make it bypass undetectable. Still bad but at least it'd have a unique property. Half the stealth killers don't effect crows when in power so it's not even a nerf to them; the other half should also have their power changed where they don't effect crows.1 -
No believe me, I've see some killers main arguing that this perk is powerful and that the downside is "justified" and inability to use all Invocations perks at the same time is "justified".

I don't get why it's not like this

we don't need proof, just reading the perk description is enough to know it's garbage.
How this is the best they could come up with during the design process, knowing chapters are worked on months in advance, yet this perk actually reached servers in its current form. Astounding, truly.

introduce crap perk, rework it, take credit for 'listening to feedback'

juuuust leaving this here for all the meta perk slaves <3
Edit: invocations recieved a shadow buff: you can now 99 invocations lol (progress is permanent, for now, doesnt decay no mo.)
