Matchmaking locked cause of cheater
I just had a game where when we spawned in, we got teleported to the basement and killed on hook, and when i got back to the lobby i had a penalty?? why? so i get a cheater in my game that instakills me, and that gives me a penalty?

and just did a game again…got the same cheater. and bigger penalty……… insane that they have so much power

I ran into the same cheater twice yesterday but never suffered a DC penalty.
This is maybe because I was able to move a bit before being caught. I believe that if you get grabbed and hooked immediately, before pressing any buttons or doing anything, the game thinks you were AFK and applies a penalty.0 -
I’m convinced this rise in cheating is in protest to the AFK penalty.
I had a killer yesterday who just ran up the stairs and off the balcony of Eyrie until all the gens were done - it’s not going to make any difference.

That player was most likely just farming the Deadly Plunge achievement, which requires you to fall a total of 1000 meters. It's an achievement that was added with the Doomed Course chapter.
I've done the same thing at least twice, Eyrie main building is a really nice spot for that.
The AFK penalty can stay imo. Don't queue up for an online game if you're not actually ready to play.1 -
That killer was grinding the new achievement where you have to fall a certain distance. Eyrie main building is a popular spot to gain progress.

Idk. It's sounds like bhvr is banning the wrong people if there are so many hackers these days. I just casually scrolled down fhd forum and seen at least 5 posts about hackers. Have fun in the fog lol

I had the same killer! Unless we were in the same match! (This always makes me excited at the prospect of being in. Match with someone form the forums!)

Yeah I had the same with a Nurse that already had me on her shoulders when I loaded into the match.
Someone said to get into a locker to avoid the penalty but I had literally no time to react and I was on a hook before what was happening really registered in my brain lol.
On the positive side, I reported them as did the rest of my lobby and I guess they were banned the next time I logged in as I got a notification action was taken. Doesn't help with the penalties though if you get more than one in a day

apparently it’s bots: yesterday I had the nurse who auto hooked everyone and the killer was a TTV player. But when I went to their channel they were live and actively playing as a survivor in a match. So it couldn’t have been them. It’s very strange.

Hackers are impersonating casual players and streamers with low numbers. Happened to me.
