Wesker is problematic

His high mobility, the fact that he insta pickup survivors who are hurt OR are fully infected and last but not least the slowdown from being fully infected make Wesker a little tunnel paradise.
I am not surprised by the amount of Wesker players tunneling (as this has never been an issue before haha).
His power is forgiving enough to catch up to survivors manually if you miss the dash.

Suggestion:

  • Fix the hitboxes. I can't stress this enough. Sometimes you clipp through objects (pretty rare but happens) and sometimes (a lot more often) Weskers dash will smash you into air like you just hit a wall. If hitboxes are that unreliable then counterplay is a lot harder. If there is nothing behind me I should not go down I should be send flying.
  • Unhooked survivors should not be infected. I see why his infection is that way. It is not that easy to get a lot of value out of it in first place. But freshly unhooked survivors who then are tunneled have no chance to get rid of the infection and will just get slower and more easy to kill. (not to mention the insta pick up even if they get healed).

I honestly did not know it takes that long to be fully infected.
But still wesker stays problematic. He can close distance and has a chance to insta pick up the just unhooked survivor (if he waits out the bt).
His power simply favours tunneling a little too much.
Any idea how to improve that?

I would say PH (definetly) and maybe even Dracula, Bubba, Huntress, Nurse, Blight are better at tunneling anyway…

Doesn't make sense to claim "problematic" for tunneling, when he is not even best at it.

    Yes, he is.

That's what I've been saying for a while now. This killer is poorly designed.

Wesker is decent and his tunneling right now is not better than many other killers.

If Wesker can tunnel, a lot of killers can do as well as him.

He's been significantly nerfed and he still suffers from wonky hitboxes in that he often gets caught on minor environmental objects during his dash that Blight and Billy can ignore, for some reason. He does need an add-on pass though as most of his add-ons are useless. Other than that, he is in a fair state.

I think wesker is overrated to be honest. Power is not very applicable at loops. Unless you do hug tech but it's unacceptably complex

Don't forget that they removed the hindered that survivors got just from being infected but not fully infected. It used to be 5 percent when infected and 8 percent when fully infected. Now its just 4 percent when fully infected

    Wesker is FAR from problematic.

Wesker is by far most overrated killer in the game. It's not only my opinion, best Wesker mains I know agree on that and comp players are just laughing when someone puts him in A tier.
He is not weak by any means, but I don't think community overrates someone as much as it does with Wesker.

I think wesker is not problematic. He has techs (bounce, skinny bert) at his disposal to help at some loops, but in a lot of places he just can't use his power to get you. In regards to lethality and closing the distance, Billy is just better in every way, and he can use his chainsaw infinitely and doesn't need tokens.

Tunneling off hook with infection was a huge issue, but now that the hinder was nerfed and the infection progress starts at 1%, it's not really an issue anymore, at that point you should be able to win the game (and although it's not fun to be tunneled sometimes, that's a different conversation unrelated to Wesker).

The insta pickup saves a few seconds for him but the trade-off is that he can't get a down with his power and easily follow up while slugging, as he has to waste time dropping. Considering you can also flashbang save a power grab I think this is fine.

The devs also gave enough sprays that you're unlikely to run into problems running out unless the entire team misplays multiple times, so I think in terms of problematic killers Wesker should be near the bottom of the list.

I think he's fine aside from his grabs being buggy and inconsistent hitboxes.
