Tweak, Update, Rework

That question had me so confused. And then they wanted to ask what Killers we thought needed each. Were they even looking at a Killer without Addons and Perks?

A killer receiving add on changes is more a tweak

An update is moreso Unknown, Knight, or Larry where they play basically the same but have several QoL changes

A rework is what Freddy should be getting, but since its just update Im gonna assume all he's gonna get is:

-The ability to swap between pallets and snares in the middle of a game

-The ability to teleport to finished gens

    -Number and add on changes

I could also see them inversing the Lullaby and TR since Survivors should be spending most of the game asleep anyway, so being able to make him more of a threat while asleep to synergize better with TR perks is something thatd be neat

If that is all we get I might consider dropping him. I'm… tired, of playing with the failure of 3.1.0, I really am.

Well, they wanted to make sure people understood what those terms meant before asking about what killers need each, I'd imagine.

I also think they might be kinda concerned people don't know about those terms whenever a roadmap is released, which anecdotally I certainly see happen sometimes when people speculate about what the changes might be.

the questions were poised to determine what the community thinks each term means (and then, presumably, adapt & clarify their own terminology in future public communications), and then also determine which killers the community thinks most need each type of treatment based on their own self-reported understanding of the terms. so even if person A thinks update means X, and person B thinks rework means X, they can still get a good idea of what changes the community wants.

why did they basically ask the same question twice? i'unno. maybe to weed out who was paying attention vs who was speedrunning the survey. that's my best guess.

I wouldnt blame you, and I really hope I am wrong with this. How ever Im almost 100% certain theyre at least doing the gen thing since Houndmaster has the ability to send Snug to a finished gen, meaning the functionality is there

Yeah those was weird but I vouch for trickster for updates, pyramid head for some tweaks on his add ons and updates and plague a full rework.

But for Killers who they wanted to know who we felt needed what are people looking at strictly Buffs? For example, I could say Xenomorph needs an update in a Buff sense or Plague needs an update in a Nerf sense.

Yeah, the gen thing is something I think is likely to happen. It is something people have been requesting for quite a while.

However, it isn't enough. Even if add-on changes I don't think things will be fixed if we don't move away from his post-rework power.

That was my issue with the question, too. Perfectly fine thing to ask but it definitely needed a checkbox or text entry box for clarifying whether you think the killer is too good, too weak, or needs changes in an area not related to outright strength.

One thing tho I would not be opposed to, is if they combined both powers together

If you had to pull some one into the dream, and then Survivors would be affected by Snares, Pallets, Aura Reveal and maybe a slight repair penalty? I think thatd be even better than just reverting him tbh

I don't like those questions either. Extremely confusing.
