Why is a crush considered a quit and do I suffer the penalty? It's not fair!

    because the game has no way of detecting a crash or intentional quit

    Because players would definetly not use this to DC without a penalty, right?

    Any form of quitting that doesn't incur a penalty will be abused into the ground till its fixed or remove, random pc or console problems suck but its a price that you have to pay so the game is playable for more people and not a free dc fest
