Is anyone actually playing Chaos Shuffle?
My queues on either side are kinda long right now. Easily double that of the normal queue. Was watching a streamer earlier today and they commented that the queues feel bad too.
Don't get me wrong, they're nothing like 2v8 levels of bad. But it's noticeable and I'm left wondering why?

It does feel like it's much less popular this time around. My queues for Survivor are usually pretty long (even with the incentive at 50%) but the Killer queue is typically instant with no wait at all.
I also find myself playing either against or with the same players fairly often. I think my local server is probably one of the less populated ones though, player number wise (UK/Ireland).
Edit: But I couldn't tell you how that compares to the regular queue because I don't play standard DBD during events / modifiers.

There's nothing really new in Chaos Shuffle, and Killers have started to realise more and more that they can just tunnel easier in this mode due to the random selections of perks. Because they don't know how to properly apply map pressure on the survivors or generators, so they got to tunnel to have a chance, might not be the same for everyone, but that's what I've been getting more and more.

I only played until I had all the challenges done, will play again when the next one unlocks but that's about it for me.

Yeah I was kind of disappointed to see they didn't add random items and add-ons this time around. Would've given it a little more edge I feel.
3 -
Me as I'm sure many others do is just play for the event tome, then go back to normal mode.
3 -
I stopped playing the game in general some weeks ago because of how long the queues are lately. Both normal and event modes. I don't have an incentive and I have to sit five minutes in queue. Not worth the time at all. I don't feel like they changed the matchmaking because my games are still over the place in terms of quality.
6 -
It's my favourite mode but I am currently back on normal. I suspect one of my neighbours is a sweaty Huntress main because I was constantly getting matched with this same person in CS lmao

I haven't had any issues with the times.
The issue when queues are long is not really how many people, that's only a factor if its a very small amount, but the proportion per role.

A lot veered away from the event due to rampant toxic and unfun behavior for both sides. As survivor I experience non-stop slugging and tunneling. As killer the survivors usually bring super stacked items that are just really annoying.

Nothing new no changes nor fixes

"ย Because they don't know how to properly apply map pressure on the survivors or generators"
False. They do. Why bother though when tunneling is such an easy option that bhvr allows for killers to do? Especially in Chaos Shuffle where all the perks are random.
Killer queues are short though atm from what I have noticed. Took 10 mins to load into a survivor

So the survivor queues are long for me as well but they also have a bonus of 100-125%. Iโm wondering if theyโre longer with the bonus because it takes more survivors to fill a queue. Theyโre faster on killer but thereโs no bonus on killer for me.
1 -
I noticed that too with the bonuses.

- No BP Incentive.
- Chance of getting No Mither.
- No basekit changes since last time.
- Killers just proxy camp or bleed me out when I play Survivor, which are boring.
- Cant play Killer with Spies From The Shadows due to colorblindness on some maps.
Yeaโฆ no. Outside of the Archive for the DnD rewards, there is no reason to really play it.
12 -
Its actually pretty good during the day. Hardly a wait at all.

And I donโt think itโs malfunctioning because late at night the bonus switches to killer in normal queue for me. But itโs still on survivor in Chaos Shuffle.
1 -
I waited so long to be a survivor last night I got bored, so I went to killer. Thankfully I enjoy killer so I didnt mind.
0 -
not me. I have zero interest in this game mode.

Unlocking this portrait is the only reason I played the modifier. They finally made a badge that looks cool!
2 -
The badge is awesome. I really like the Dragon charm too.

I can't tell you actually? My games feel pretty balanced for the most part, both sides don't have anything usefull often and therefore it's just looping/power-controll and the other sidefactors you can't take away.
The only thing that destroys this balancing is matchmaking that is horrible, it's not even funny how weak some survivors are xD

I havent touched it at all after 1 game. The most fun thing in this game for me is using a variety of killers with their addons with perks that synergies together to make a cool build. Killers like freddy, myers, bubba are really boring and a pain to play without certain perks or builds. I played 1 match with myers on chaos shuffle and i regretted the minute i loaded in the match. No haste build or undetecable build or obession build or vault build just base myers who is super boring to play. This mode is good for killers that are already able to get downs without needing to crutch on perks. I cannot play bubba without bam or myers without PWYF because to play without them is to load in knowing that you lost. I can imagine blight, nurse, dracula, spirit players are having a blast with the mode.

I played 1 game as Myers on the mode before i stopped and the 4 survivors i got all had hemorrhage syringes and gel dressings. Insanity especially on myers when all i got was Shattered hope, genetic limits, septic touch, and hex 2 can play. I guess you can say that my hope was shattered

I haven't found the wait times too bad on Chaos Shuffle so far and I haven't played normal mode during it's availability

Bruh, such true. I always say how bad MMR in this game, but holy, playing modifiers makes me realize that MMR does at least bare minimum, because survivors there are so bad to the point it's not even interesting to play killer and no point to play survivors because of matches are throwed as soon as you loaded into trial.
My survivor queue on CS was way longer, but I didn't play it for 3 days. Maybe will play some matches today.
1 -
I keep trying to enjoy the game mode but whenever i play survivor the killers just tunneling someone out or slugging solo queue players.
I enjoy the mode as killer because it's easy enough plus if I lose I dont need to wait 4 minutes to move on coz I'm left on the floor to bleed out everytime because the killer spat their dummy out.6 -
Whenever they release a modifier, I pretty much only play it until they remove it. The queues have been pretty normal for me and the games have been pretty fun. Temporary modes are definitely more enjoyable than the base game.
1 -
I can't say to this, I'm basically only playing survivor if my girlfriend wants to see me play. Otherside of this case I can only tell you from killerperspective that the matchmaking itself is fast but bad xD
0 -
Playing right now. The queue times are almost instant with survivor
0 -
I only did the challenges and that is it. I have no interest in this mode since day one. Also the fact I had a match where two people had innovations and wasting time doing them while am getting chase by a doctor for like 3 mins with 0 gens pop, no ty
3 -
I've only played it infrequently the past few days. As others have said, it's not unique this time. For me some perks seem weighted more than others. I get a no mither in the lobby almost every other match. I've had fogwise, self care, babysitter, built to last, counterforce, and exultation WAY more than seems random. I swear one of those almost every survivor match. Add to that, two out of three killers are tunneling the first survivor out or at least to a 2nd hook state so they play defensive. It's just not fun so I go back to the standard queue where people play the game.
I wish "perk randomizer" was just a loadout button for a single player challenge on normal games at this point.
2 -
no i have fun with using strong perks and builds
chaos shuffle removes that
also killer needs their perks way more then survivor
far far easier to win with 0 survivor perks then 0 killer perks
0 -
My survivor queues are super short, like a minute or less. Killer for me is a little longer
1 -
It's not really chaos since you just stack best items as insurance. This is simply too undercooked for a 3rd iteration
0 -
Why yes actually. I just queued up and got lucky that I found a match right away. I do have a 25% Bp bonus. Map is Toba! Wish me luck! ๐
3 -
Good luck!
1 -
It was the Unknown and I got finisher moriโd ๐คฃ We almost finished the last gen! I did run the Killer for two gens at first though, that was nice.
2 -
Now that you mention it, the tunneling and slugging is rampant and it makes sense why. I'm not even sure the rewards in the Tome are incentive enough to put up with the experience, more than likely they'll be available next year via a code for everyone to instantly redeem anyway.
1 -
The game mode has been brought back the 3rd time in a year.
Itโs kinda getting stale by now.
0 -
I've been playing it and having a great time overall on both sides. The game is 10 times more fun when you don't play against the same small group of perks every single match.
Every time chaos shuffle has been available I've played it exclusively (as in, not playing normal mode at all) until it's over and this time is no different
4 -
70% of survivor matches have been hardcore tunneling. Killer matches are okay though
4 -
I feel the same way. This is easily my favourite modifier of them all and I usually have loads of fun playing it. There may be some players that seem to want to spoil the fun for everyone else, but when it's good it's really good.
2 -
shuffle cool but playing without anti tactics perk is dangerous. Solo queue matches is too much of a gamble and it very good chance of being a bad match these days.
