Just bought the game, was having a blast easily getting into matches, ######### is this new change? I am not waiting almost 30 minutes to get anything.
This game went from being outstanding to non-functional. This is awful. Revert it back to the way it was or start issuing refunds.

Matchmaking was completely broken with the new system. I'd consider the game less functional with the new one than the old one.

I just want to play the game. I dont care about how advanced someone is or not. This new system requiring 30 minutes to enter a lobby is ######### down right awful.

@Mordliss I am terribly sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience, so allow me to give you all of the information you need:
Recently the developers were experimenting with a new matchmaking system. This system was queue based and generally guaranteed players a match within 5 minutes for so. This was only a test of this matchmaking system and so they removed the new system after a short time and have given us back the older system which is in place now.
Now that you are using the old matchmaking system you will be matched with players of "similar" rank. Supposedly if at least five minutes have passed then the system will place you in a priority fill queue and get you a full lobby asap.
This matching based on rank wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the developers recent ranking or "Emblem" system rework that makes it much harder to rank up. So all of the survivor players and a fair number of killers seem to be lurking at the green ranks. (Ranks 10 to 9, I think.) This means that if you are a killer or survivor that falls below or above this rank you are not going to get matches as fast.
On the bright side, on the 13th of every month there is a "Rank Reset" that pushes everyone down to lower ranks which lets everyone find easy games again, for a time.
I am deeply sorry to hear that you're having trouble finding games but I'll do everything I can to help you overcome this challenge.
If you could let me know what rank you currently are at, or what role you play when you get long wait times I might be able to help you understand how to manipulate your rank and either rank up with strategy or de-rank to safe queue time zones. Just add a "@Peasant" somewhere in your response and I'll be notified.

It was helpful , but it doesnt fix the issue. I just want to play the game, and get a few matches in during an hour break or what not. The 5 minute queue system was infinitely better then sitting the lobby waiting for several minutes alone.
I dont have much time to play as it is, and this is further decreasing my ability to get games in, let alone my desire to play this particular waiting simulator to being with now.

@Mordliss Okay, your position might not actually be that bad. At ranks 20-16 you CANNOT de-rank as they are the "training" ranks. I am afraid that the only way to get better lobbies is that you simply keep playing the game.
I know that the wait time can be aggravating but you just need to find something to do, go to the bathroom, check your email, do some homework, browse the forums.
As you get closer to rank 15 lobby times should begin to speed up as some players make a habit of de-ranking to 15 to "have more fun". All you have to do is endure until 15.
