2v8 is not as bad as I've thought - survivor POV
I was skeptical about the new 2v8, but after playing a few games I changed my mind.
What I like:
- The games are fast,
- Survivor skills are at a decent level
- Most of the maps are ok
What I don't like:
- Legion has no right to be in this mode - as a killer it has its pluses and minuses, its plus is that it can hurt many people at once, its minus is that as a killer itself it is weak.
- Well, but in 2v8 he is not alone and as a support for another killer he makes a strong combo, which is not cool for survivors.
- RPD has no right to exist in this mode or any other closed map - don't even try to add one next time.
- I don't like the fact that practically any killer can be undetectable at a call - previously it was only possible with Wraight, I think killers should not abuse this ability, especially on closed maps like RPD.

Yea my main complaint is legion, then RPD. Don't really have much issue with anything else as survivor. Legion makes the game a lot less fun in this mode.

Okay, with the Legion thing, picture this: In 1v4, before he got his 5-hit down added in, it would have been a misplay to go around the map deep wounding people over and over, because you're spending loads of time, and aren't actually downing people, giving the survivors the upper hand. It's the same thing in 2v8, except for his 8-hit down (which almost never happens anyway due to the likelihood of someone stunning him or running out of his power), and except for there being a second killer. So the function Legion really serves in 2v8 is to keep people injured so that the other killer can down people easier. That's actually not as strong as you'd think, because good survivors in this game have no issue looping killers or doing gens while injured. They just get downed faster, but that's more than made up for with the increased gen pressure, because unless the killer's at your gen it literally doesn't matter that you're doing it injured, and you're saving loads of time by not healing. With the exception of Legion being paired with like a really good Nurse (which you almost never see, and who can win on their own), none of the other killers benefit THAT much from survivors mostly being injured, because they still have to contend with the loops and pallets, which are everywhere. I don't think Legion is as strong as people make him out to be. He's just easier to play.
The hate against RPD, I really don't get. If anything, it should be the killers complaining about this map. Remember what a fuss there was to get the 1v4 map cut in half? It wasn't the survivors asking for that (except for those who get lost in these easily memorable maps). In the full version of the map, you have like 2 god windows, like 8 god pallets, several check spots that give you a 20-45 second lead on the killer for free, 2 floors + outside areas for the killers to patrol, tons of walls to between you and them. I could go on, but I think I made my point. There's no logical reason for why this map is "bad for survivors."
The Undetectable killer class has got me a time or two, but people rarely pick it, and it's hard to use because pretty much every map except RPD is wide open.

Survivor 2v8 has been a loot more fun for me personally than surivor 1v4. The main reasons being that games are fast, mistake dont have much impact and that learning is easier than ever.
This, however:
- Well, but in 2v8 he is not alone and as a support for another killer he makes a strong combo, which is not cool for survivors
…doesnt make much sense or is badly worded. A strong combo is nothing bad. Finding good killer combos is part of the deph of 2v8 killer gameplay and should be encouraged.
While adding Legion was, in my opinion as well, a mistake, wording it this way doesnt quite stick. It was a mistake because their power is designed to work ok against 4 people. Against 8 it becomes unreasonable. If a Legion gets 4 hits in 2v8, they are already so fast, that getting 8 hits is VERY much possible. Against 8 people, that is slowdown on a level unseen in 2v8.
Legion should be changged for the next iteration but not for the reason of "creating strong combos" but because their power isnt tuned right.

Pretty much agree. What 2v8 has is nice. It would be better without Legion, especially with how common he is and RPD shouldn't be in the mode. Killers seem to be using undetectable much better which makes it very strong.

Well, you're kind of debunking yourself. Firstly you have to give more depth to "He's designed for 1v4, not 2v8," because literally every killer is that way. And if he, as he exists now, is just a strong combo (like you said, nothing wrong with that), why does he need to be changed? Why is he unreasonable all of a sudden? I've seen good survivors play against him. They just stun him out of his power, outlast his Frenzy, or heal up and push gens anyway.

There are killers with powers that easily work in 2v8 and killers with powers that don't. Chucky, Artist, Huntress and Blight work easily. Sadako, Pig, Doctor, Xenomorph and Legion do not. Their powers work vastly different. Legions mending simulator works in 1v4 because you can stay injured all the time. This is not possible when a spirit sticks along. Their powers work on their own. Not in combination with others. On top of this, Legions preferred gameplay (hit and run + mending) is a heavily disliked killer / playstyle by the majority of the playerbase.
2v8 is supposed to be a fun mode. We have an overabundance of killer players and lack a lot of survivors.
I don't think the best it was the best idea to insert Legion at this point in time, when we are trying to increase the survivor playercount. As far as I know, we don't have mmr in this mode. Just think about that.
Their power needed to be changed more to better fit. I hope they learn from this and Chang it up for the following iterations. Especially when it comes to adding killers with difficult powers.
