About the 3 week content drought…
Since everyone is aware about the 3 week content delay to focus on the games health, I wonder what will be in store for March. They said the ptb is scheduled for March 11 which means we’ll probably get the dev update march 6th or the 10th. I hope that they give a 2-3 week long bloodhunt or bloodfeast with double rift fragments for the live game so it doesn’t feel like nothing is happening for a month straight after 2v8 ends. I know there’s the 400% survivor queue incentive and double xp going on now during 2v8 but I just hope there’s something for us in March so the community isn’t in burnout until the next big update.

On one hand, I'm not looking forward to this new "dry period". The 6 week period of getting new content and updates is what keeps this game from getting stale. But on the other hand, this game desperatly needs this Health Update, especially with FNAF right around the corner.
Behavior is playing the long game, this time around, and I'm all for it3 -
I am okay to hold off on content to work on Operational Health. I 100% support you.

I'll be fine. I wouldn't care if it was a year.

The wait sucks not even going to lie. Yeah the reason why they did it is good but doesn’t make it suck less. Houndmaster PTB was 3 months ago and I didn’t like the chapter much or at all. I only liked all shaking thunder and scourge hook jagged compass even tho there isn’t many scourge hooks in the game. But the killer, survivor, and map were very boring to me. So there being 4 months between new content getting revealed in the ptb is long. And there is 20 days afterward that it goes to lives April 2nd is the release date. But bright side is that if the ptb for FNAF is still in May there is only like 1 month to wait after the release of the new chapter. And there is supposed to be a survivor only chapter in between there somewhere. So it’s dry af rn but it’s going to pour soon

I would be careful of the terms content drought or dry period. BHVR needed to do something like this for a long time. Lets not make them feel like it was a mistake.

pretty sure during the video they stated a lot of upcoming releases, events, and collections will be pushed back for the health update. I hope that they stick to tradition and have the ptb for the anniversary come out right after the anniversary stream but I doubt it tbh.

It's 100 % worth it, I'd rather this than more content and the game staying in the state it is now.

Its important for devs to at least try this and see where it goes, it can be very worth it long term.
However if you find the game stale for longer time, you can always just sink into some great singleplayer games or play other online game for time being.

Same idc about the survivor only mid chapter. It’s only a skin + meh perks unless they introduce something like boons like mikela. I want the tradition to also keep going on. Vecnas was cool with the livestream and seeing the ptb

It's a three week delay? I thought it'd be a bigger delay, so I'm pleased.

I 100% agree for sure. This needs to happen and the Devs I feel have made the right choice. Cheers! Operation Health Updates :D

I like semantics, so lemme real quick comment on what the metaphor "drought" suggests; that the lack of content is going to be something that threatens not just your health and well-being but your entire existence, that what is coming over the next three weeks is depriving you of something equally fundamental as food and especially water quite possibly leading to many deaths. …. Which I think is a… bit extreme for this ? A "content drought" is actually something that threatens the existence of the thing that is supposed to have that content. — And in this case it's not even like there is not content. There is - just of a different kind.
That being said: I would be curious if it's possible to see some of the changes as live-playtests for e.g. AFK bots, spawn logic, map offerings, hiding&bodyblock prevention. Similar to how they did the background-MMR tests during live some years ago, or the 2v8 bots now. Just a day or so. Might also help counter some concerns people have and an option to gather data (&feedback) on individual measures.

They're fine to cut down on content a bit every now and then. Unless you're someone who plays the game all day, they pretty much run you ragged with all the tomes, dailies, and events. As soon as 1 tome or event ends, another begins 5 days later.

great opportunity for newer players to grind shards and catch up on original content too for those that don’t want to pay.

Overwatch killed itself with a self inflicted content drought to sell you Ow2 by taking away the game you paid $40 for so they could legally weasel their way out of obligations.
This is not a content drought.

I'm not even bothered by the content delay. I'm bothered that we need to wait another 3 weeks to figure out what the new content will be.
