Make chase music optional?
With All this talk of you're listening to the player base can we finally get Billie's chainsaw sound to shut up? Can we get an option to get rid of the chase music? in game equalizer? pretty much every game that requires hearing foot steps already has this. Option to change aura colors of gens and survivors?

for phase 2 of the qoL roadmap, accessibility options is on there. Fingers crossed we get some of the things you mentioned along with a hook scream volume slider🤞🏾

This would mean everybody is forced to play with no chase music because it's just an active detriment.

I'd like to get an option to listen to different variations of chase musics. Sometimes i wanna meme around and here dishwasher music, or get to hear houndmaster's ptb music since fir some reason it still hasn't been patched

I don't remember it being any easier to catch survivors when the chase music was shut off due to bugs. Also, after hearing it multiple thousands of times, it'd just be nice to shut it off or be able to play your own tunes in the background without the audio clash.

No reason it can't be made to differ from user to user. I'd prefer no music, some enjoy it. I don't wanna take away from you preference I'd just like an option to chase without it for myself.

The chase music is there to mask survivor sounds so they can lose you. With no chase music you can hear every foot step and every breath made.
Now, if you are asking for an option to revert to the old basic chase music. I'm all for that.

Unless you have proof of this reason, I disagree. It's an immersive feeling to add a sense of horror / fun to it. Chase music doesn't effect survivors at all but can completely muffle simple things like gen sounds for a killer.

Are you talking about his roar? His roar is a survivors audio queue to let them know when he's sprinting.

Proof would be me digging through years old Dev diaries. Lets just use played experience instead. Have you ever lost chase while in chase? Before you could start chase again, could you hear how the survivor is moving on the other side of the wall?

His roar is fine as well as the chainsaw. There are addons to make it where survivors can't hear his rev. As killer, it still helps induce early life deafness with the inability to turn it down a notch.
