Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Props to you!

Does anyone actually use the "give props" thing because I have and I just want to make sure I'm not the only one lmfao I like to use it to show that I'm not upset with people who are bully squads because I understand it could be fun with friends kinda like a "oh you got me lmfao" type of thing idk

as always I love you guys!

No, but only because I know it does nothing, at least right now. If it had an actual effect I'd start using it.

I do all the time! Especially if I get irritated or upset with my teammates or the killer. I find that it rewires my brain to be positive rather than negative. I also give props when someone makes an amazing play!

I had forgotten about that mechanic, probably because it's the same as the useless report button (unless you do the whole separate process as well). I kind of just admit to myself, "That player really knew what they were doing." because there's an ocean of players who don't, who I usually get put with. If they can help beat a Freddy, Wraith, Ghost Face, or Legion (who get 4ks for some reason sometimes), that's a good player. If they help beat a decent Blight, Nurse, or Wesker, that's a great player. But mostly I'm looking for gen efficiency. You don't have to heal every time, unless you're using We'll Make It or Resurgence.

This week I gave a Hillbilly a thumbs up. They had a Terror Radius build. Scaring the life out of me multiple times. I had fun.

Last week I gave a Survivor a thumbs up for not deserting me on Hook in End Game and saved me. Everyone else left but not them.

I probably use it less than 1% of the time

Never clicked that button in over 10k hours. Same with the "Did you have fun?"-Rating. Never used that.

I sometimes give props in case some day it actually does something and they might retroactively give credit.

I think after 100 props the player should be rewarded with 1000 iri shards

I do it all the time. Just today I thumbed up a blight :) The devs have said I believe that they do keep track of that information. So I wouldn't be surprised if they did something with it in the future. If it ever does happen, I hope my thumbs up make peopel smile!

I do wonder if what people put in the little box ever gets read by anyone, because I remember someone that I played with through some friend of a friend connection saying he used it. When I at one point watched him play the way he used it was to… "vent" in that box, writing some of the most unhinged garbage I've seen that'd get you banned real quick if you put it in chat.

Yup. I also use the 'did you have fun' option at the end of the match to rate my matches. The latter I do because one of the devs did say they do pay attention to it. It only takes me a second and it's consistent feedback, even if they opt to do nothing with it.

I give props. I know it means nothing, but when I want to give someone a thumbs up for a good match it's the only way I can.

Rarely, if the match was particularly memorable and the players were too

Really wish it would give the other person a notification.

I do use props, unsporting and exploits all within reason.

Used to until I learnt it did nothing. Same with the 'did you have fun?' button.

I don't use it because it does nothing which is really sad. Sometimes I have extremely good teammates or survivors and want to give them props but they are on console or already left. Would be nice if you could give someone a prop and this one would get a notification and could read the message.

I dont like 90% of time as I either forget it exists or just be trying to move to the next match. Imo just like a downvote button I feel its just probably used in a negative all the time when either side loses. Games thst does these things or show things like people win/ lose rate never makes sense to me.
