Survivors regularly not leaving scratch marks in 2v8

I've noticed in 2v8 some survivors don't leave scratch marks at all.

Is this an actual bug? or did I miss some class effect?

  I guess you missed a class effect: the healer class womit leave scratch marks once they have been caged!
  edit: as mentioned below, this only applies to medics that are injured

  Does the medic leave no scratch marks only when they're injured? or does it apply when they're healthy as well?

  It was a bad idea to give different survivor classes permanent Dance With Me and Iron Will for free.
