Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Killers are now leaving when you choose Nemesis in 2v8

Well, that was quick but I guess I understand why they're doing it? There are many times where everyone, including me, escaped against the Nemesis + with any killer whenever I'm playing survivor in 2v8. I was victim of it 4 times when I wanted to play some Nemesis in 2v8. I promise you that I won't throw but I can't guarantee that we can always get 8 kills. Despite that, we can easily get more than 5 kills. I try to do my best and I know a lot of people are saying that Nemesis is the weakest killer but that doesn't mean I'm going to throw the game. In chat I get a lot of hate for it and telling me to leave and pick another killer.

I'm a Nemesis main and I love him. I know he has problems but don't give up despite his weaknesses.

tbf, the amount of horrible Nemos is astonishing (speaking from surv pov). Only very few have an idea how to deal with survs running into them (to make them miss M2) or what they can actually hit with M2 (some things you just need to know that you can get a hit and it's near guaranteed - some are a bit more tricky).

Yes, the huge maps highlight Nemo's biggest issue: mobility / spreading pressure across the map. — But you do have a second killer so if you do your job (shred pallets faster than scouts can restore them und down survs) well it's not worse than most other killer match ups.

That being said. Nemo + Trapper and Nemo + Slinger are terrible combos cause all of them have horrible mobility.

It's not easy to deal with survivors running into you if you wanna get tentacle hit, but I have a weird strategy that always works (at least on controller) you just wait the survivor to go to your right/left and throw your camera while you do the tentacle strike, it somehow works most of the times for me... or you can just m1

Maybe they want an ez win with an OP Blight/Nurse/Etc partner. People don't want to use effort to win.

Have to agree with the horrible Nemesis-Players. I used to play him quite a lot (basically for a few months I only played Nemesis after he got released) and I always cringe a bit when I see some people playing him. So it is not surprising that this also translates to 2v8.

But since you mention specific Combos - the thing is that for some reason BHVR decided to give the better Buffs to already strong Killers. So not only are those Killers already stronger, but relatively they get the better Buffs compared to the weaker Killers.

However, I would not really dodge a Lobby after I waited 10+ minutes for it…

most of the Nurses I’ve gone against in 2v8 have been very good, but a few bad ones that made for easy survivors wins. A vast majority of the Blights I’ve gone against have been average to downright bad. These killers are not effortless guaranteed wins - they both take a significant amount of skill to make them OP. I recommend you try playing as Blight or Nurse before concluding that they are “OP”.

I thought we should balance around people who know how to play?

I think it's also a case of burnout too! Probably dripping from regular gameplay into 2v8.

I've always advocated if you're feeling tilted over a game, take a break, and come back rejuvenated. It's what I try to do to ensure that I am not taking my frustrations out on others — but obviously we're humans and we have moments slip.

Doesn't mean it's okay to DC and ruin the game for others! It's why I do not do toxic behavior in a game, but it's been an ongoing thing for me to curb those actions. Only time I DC is when I see another person DC, I hardly if ever kill myself on hook because each game is a learning experience for me. 😊

Granted, I do not play 2v8 because I don't like the game mode as much - my personal favorite is Lights Out! Haha. But that's my thoughts, people getting burnt out and just DC when they feel like the game is lost, might as well finish and get your points but alas, people get tilted and want to quit.

Edit: even from a killer perspective, it's childish to DC just because of their decision to choose a killer.

Point being, my point stands - if you opted to play with a random killer, you do not get the decision to dictate what another player chooses to play. I sympathize with you @mountain , that is beyond terrible for people to DC just because there is no guarantee for an 8k and just speaks to the people that queue up to play. Games are supposed to be fun at the end of the day and I do hope that in your future games that you will have people who do not do that to you! It is not you, it is them at the end of the day.

I disagree, almost every nurse I've been paired with or played against in 2v8 has been bad. I even just finished a match of 2v8 where the Nurse was friendly and ruined the entire match for me, I didn't queue and wait 15 minutes to be a friendly killer, I can do that in normal mode and not ruin another Killers time. Likewise, Nemmy and even Legion are a hard lobby dodge at this point as they lead to no kill games.

you’re claiming that it doesn’t take effort to win with Blight or Nurse. Have you played as killer using either of them before? How did it go for you?

There's a skill floor to each of those killers for sure, but they're not enormously high and once you reach it you're going to have an easier time than you would with almost all of the other killers.

While as a brand new Blight/Nurse player you'll usually suck out loud, once you get decently good (not even great, just to where you have a pretty good feel for their power), you're pretty much playing on a lower difficulty level than just about any other killer. And have put time in as every killer in the game (except for Unknown).

Though to be fair, I do think there are a number of killer players in 2v8 specifically who are playing these killers for the first time, or have very little experience.

It's hard to say this, but I think I'm the weak link/liability when I'm playing 2v8 with my Wesker friend.
He plays a strong killer and it's on PC while I'm a console Nemesis, so I have no mobility and miss some hits that I'm sure I would've get if I was on PC.

And talking about the second issue… I hope BHVR try to fix this crap of lag on consoles that makes you miss hits as killers and as surv you have to try getting a skill check wrong in order to get it.

it’s funny - after you wrote that yesterday I played another 2v8 match against a bad Nurse. For the first half of the match I don’t think she used her power at all. Bad Nurses are probably my favorite killer to go against. But hey can’t blame people for being bad when they use her for the first time - have to start somewhere!
