This is what makes the solo queue experience terrible sometimes

When you as a 2,000+ hour player thrown into a lobby, click on your teammate’s profile, and see this:
(No it wasn’t a lobby backfill)
Just an incredible job with the matchmaking…

I'm telling you. The matchmaking causes so many of this game's problems.

The problem with this game in the first place is that new players (especially killers) don't stick around and become mid-level players, so the practice of filling experienced players with newbies who are just starting out has been going on for a long time.

It's someone who moved either from console or epic. It's not possible for it to be a new player.

Yeah, my friend told me that when she switched to PC she would have people giving her -rep for having low hours, but she has thousands of hours on console.
It's possible it's a cross-play player, but also possible for them to be a new player.
Very hard to determine, honestly.

It's a problem with backfill lobbies. They should just cancel the lobby when they can't find a replacement for a player that left.

I'm convinced this is a feature of the matchmaker system.
I'm pretty sure that even in a world where infinite survivors of every single MMR were available, it would choose two that are the same MMR as the killer, one much higher, and one much lower.

yeah on my ps4 I have over a 1000 hours and when I got my ps5, when people check my hours it says something like around 500 because it’s how much time I have on ps5, and doesn’t account for my ps4 time.

let me put it this way can do it over the span of 9 yrs since the game dropped and 20k hrs / 3204 days(days over 9 yrs) and you get 6.24 hours of their day every single day playing this game. Which is still wild.
Or
20000 hrs/ 24 hrs =833.333 full days online833.33 total days/ 356 days in a year =2.341 years of playing logged in.

Dang, that's a lot of hours omg! It makes me wonder what the highest is, haha.
I'm currently at 3.2k hours I believe. 😅

@HeroLives , well no - let's say I am soloquing and I click on someone's profile.
Sometimes I do this because I like to see people's bios, I don't do that to like belittle people for their hours.
However, Playstation (I can't talk for Xbox) will sort your games by the highest. For example, if you see my profile it will show DBD as my highest hours on my profile (I play a lot of DBD ☠️) - it will still show my PS4 and PS5 hours because I have a lot of hours in both. I believe my PS4 hours are still higher than my PS5 hours, so it still shows both - just shows them separately because of trophy guidelines.

interesting, for some reason my ps4 hours don’t show.

I mean like I can see it, but I have heard others say they can’t see the ps4 hours for it.

That’s 7.5 full days out of a 14 day week. Obsessed is a word that can fit. Maybe it’s their hyper fixation, or livelihood.

Ah, I'll check once I go on my console and report back to you privately. 🫡 But yeah, it should show your hours - I have my PS4 trophies hidden, I think (I like to trophy hunt and I'm not going to continue playing PS4 DBD) - but it still shows my hours regardless.
It's just because PS4 and PS5 DBD have achievements that are tied to both, just because you earn an achievement on the PS5 version doesn't mean it will trigger for PS4 as they are considered "different", so they show up differently on a profile and are considered "separate".
