Kaneki is S tier
This killer is insane. Guaranteed injury since it’s almost impossible to miss with the power, insane map mobility, and insane at ending chases since you can leap ahead of a survivor or right next to them and cancel your ability mid air so you can get a instant m1 after landing. I would put him around Billy as the 4th best killer in the game currently. He has all the things in his kit to be S tier and has an addon that is legit bbq and chili.

idk about that but I found it weird that he was able to hit me through walls. Idk if that is a bug or just the latency
14 -
I think he's at the same level as wraith, the "cancel mid power to insta m1" thing is game breaking and should be fixed
-3 -
I wouldn't put him that high.
He struggles in downing potential compared to the other S tiers. You can cut Survivors off from heading to another loop, but if they're already injured and in an area with decent resources you kind of have to just play it like an M1 killer.
10 -
Had one of my mates saying this exact same thing, though I cannot confirm if its ping either or just a feature
4 -
I would put him in the C or D tier. Yes he has the best map mobility, but if you cant down survivors rlly well, it rlly doesnt help a lot
-33 -
First impression seems high A to me
7 -
IMO his mobility is diabolical, I played two matches against him today and in both of them he just kept going back to the hook and then at the end of the match just kept bounding between both sets of doors so they’d be impossible to open.
18 -
Sure would be nice if I could get a match :3
-2 -
Did you just call him the same level as wraith and still said his cancel is gamebreaking? How does this combination work? xD
24 -
I noticed this as well. I was hit through a wall a few times with his power after breaking line of sight around a corner. Bug maybe?
0 -
He's mid to high A tier.
2 -
My guess is a latency issue between what the killer is seeing vs what the survivor is seeing. So long as he hits the attack when he sees it, it doesn't matter even if the survivor breaks line of sight in their end.
3 -
Usually i rank the killers based on their "normal" kit, and not some insane exploit
-1 -
Likely. The game prioritizes the killers pov for hits and prioritizes the survivors pov for interrupts.
1 -
In my opnion, he seems like a hard noob stomper, kinda like Skull Merchant pre nerf. I have been getting the most wild ranges of results with him, which made me come to that conclusion. If you get mid-level survivors or lower, you absolutely stomp them like no other killer, on the other hand, if you get good survivors you are getting stomped like a Myers on The Game map, there is no in-between.
His counterplay is based around you not getting found out-positioned, since you can't really hold shift W against him. If the survivors are not letting themselves get found around deadzones, and are constantly going from loop to loop forcing him to play as a M1 killer, then there is not much he can do, unless it is a really long loop, in which case he can cancel his power mid-leap.
Overall, I would place him as a high D tier killer, or a low C.
-6 -
Watching people play him?
Seems high A-tier, possibly S-tier.
He has insane mobility, a power you cannot juke and good chase potential outside of it.
13 -
Another killer to make SoloQ boring and impossible to play. unfortunetely, i never will try against him. sorry.
-10 -
If you think youll always lose, and therefore will never try against him, making you always lose, isnt that a self-fulfilling prophecy?
Even if he's hard to go against, surely trying is more fun than giving up, right?
12 -
I'd say this killer is A tier. The perks Resilience and made for this are pretty good against ghouls too, so there's some counter play atleast. Also, there's no way to down with your power, which is something pretty much every S tier killer can do.
-1 -
Anyone else unofficially dubbing him Spiderman/Venom?
5 -
more like doc oc
5 -
I don't know, I've been rocking Made For This and Off The Record and I've only died like one time out of the five times I've played against him.
It seems he's harder to play on indoor maps (I've beat him twice on Midwich) and died on Forgotten Ruins (only because a random kept sandbagging the hook every time she was in chase).
He's not really that oppressive that I find, but I am running a build that directly counters him and gives me speed (both in chase and when I'm potentially getting tunneled).
1 -
Doc Ock too for anyone that remembers him. I was thinking the more of the recent Iron Spider suit with those legs/tentacles and he's zipping and zoomin everywhere. 😅
4 -
i dont care dude, i think he is much boring and i dont want play against him. i dont need to play face things i dont like it. u should blame the game to make things where people dislike
-21 -
Players like you are the reason SoloQ is boring and impossible to play, actually.
18 -
yeah i know, its a epidemic, unfortunetely
-8 -
Yeah hes pretty insane. Free injury, can't greed against him, can't W away because he will cut you off with his grapple. Borderline blight level and possibly past. Oh yeah deep wound just to throw it in there too.
13 -
If they don't make more strong killers, people are only going to gravitate towards the killers that are still strong regardless. IMO, I think S tier for a killer that can't down with their power is a bit too high. Pretty much every S tier killer can injure and down with their power instead of only one of those things. The perks Made For This and Resilience can mess with Ghouls pretty hard,.and those two perks are solo queue friendly as well so pretty much anyone can use them and get benefits against Ghoul players. I think this killer just needs time to settle to find out for sure but I'd say A tier at best.
0 -
That's his skill expression though. It doesn't need "fixing"
-1 -
When you load into the trial, you are consenting to playing against whatever killer shows up.
Why do you think the game doesn't tell you which one it is?
You're entitled. Face it.
14 -
Yeah, that's like saying Wesker shouldn't be able to toss people who are out positioned into corners/dead zones to guarantee downs. People will still stand by that sentiment to this day, too.
-4 -
That one old flashlight bug where you could redirect your vault was just skull expression I guess 🤷♂️
1 -
I think he's probably top 12-15 but by no means does he hold a candle to the four arguable s tiers rn - nurse, billy, houndmaster and blight all make shorter work of survivors with less room for counterplay.
-8 -
Yup right next to billy and blight.
Wouldnt say quite nurse, as he cant go through walls but his catch up is pretty similar and you have little counter play.
Covers way too much distance, has really no cooldown, 3 charges are up permanently, and the first hit is free (unless you are bad)
Other stuff to play in the meantime0 -
yo I put on made for this also , and it helped. And if they keep bringing blood favor I’m grabbing detectives hunch.
If they keep running back to the hook I might also grab we’ll make it and power of two. Good luck out there in the fog fellow survivor main 🫶Post edited by HeroLives on5 -
Its simple, if u dont want to play a boring match or against a especific killer or map or whatever, u are free to leave, noone needs to do nothing in this life, just die at some time, if the game has the "go next" epidemic today, the problem arent the players, is the game.
-12 -
No the problem is the players. If you can't find enjoyment to play out games to the end then just don't queue up and find a different game you actually enjoy.
11 -
survivors:
Made for this
Power of two
Bond/kindred
Finesse
Lithe
Vigil
Detectives hunch( if necessary)
We’ll make it
Leader
Mix and match as needed, I’ve found these useful. Also if you have no hooks and someone is on death hook for Pete’s sake take some protection hits or chase.

This issue is with this killer how good they are depends all on the killer player and suviours don't have counterplay so there skill is invalided (mainly referring to them being able to cut off pallets and windows extremely easy with power, which on some maps that have barely any recourses feel horrible to verse without sprint burst and even with SB some maps there are so little recourses it's a free hit anyways)
It's like nurse a bad nurse is easy to verse but someone who is skillful in playing her can always get a 4k and suviours looping skill just gets thrown out window.
-3 -
If Ghoul is in Enraged Mode and a survivor drops a pallet or vaults a window, injured or not, The Ghoul can use the kagune tendrils to hit the survivor on the other side, which pulls you towards them, gives them hindered to slow them down, and makes you vault the obstacle faster than just pulling yourself towards the obstacle normally or vaulting normally.
It usually guarantees the m1 hit if there isn't another tile really close by. You have to be in Enraged mode, and the kagune tendrils have to hit the survivor on the other side of the pallet or window/vault to get the increased vaulting speed from the kagune tendrils.
Basically like Wesker's virulent bound vaulting, but you have to aim at the survivor on the other side of vaults/windows, and dropped pallets with the kagune tendril's cross hair, and then pull yourself towards them by hitting them, instead of just virulent bound rushing at the dropped pallet, or window like Wesker does.
This killer is an easy A tier for sure, and I'm starting to think this killer might be closer to S tier than I originally thought they were.
The more I play as Ghoul and against them, the more I'm sure they're definitely getting nerfed, but how bad? Only time will tell.

I wouldn’t recommend finesse since you can still get hit through windows and over pallets with his power. Also because being healthy means nothing against this killer since the first hit is guaranteed
13 -
mmmm I have thoughts but I’ll keep them to myself for some ghouls sake , but it’s on my list for a reason.
But yeah some hits are guaranteed, I agree.

don’t be shy, share! (I’m having a rough time versing Ghoul and need all the help and tips I can get lol)
2 -
if you’re using bond you can pre run and take a window with finesse, if you are near one. It’s not super consistent since you’ll have to make sure you’re taking time to reset to get the finesse value, but that plays back into bond, but it’s better than giving freebies and trying to gen rush. Sure you’re losing some gen time but he’s counterable, you just have to play smart. In what I would call a normal match at least one person is making it out where people are collectively thinking their plays through. Open handed is also good.

Saw someone mention he can hit through walls. He can also hit you even if he can't reach you. Got deep wounded from up near the gen on mothers dwelling main from the ground floor.
9 -
He can also dash and damage you even if you're on the completely opposite side of a window. It's pretty ridiculous.
10 -
I have yet to see a ghoul be screwed over by resi and MFT and I've been watching a good one for a while now. What's the MFT gonna do when Kaneki has pre nerf chucky scamper? Or they're just on your back with umbrella decreasing the fatigue by 10%. Or the addons that just reveal survivors auras for free basically.
13 -
Are you confusing bond with self-care? I do not see how bond comes into play here since all bond does it let you see other survivors when you are close enough to them.
2 -
Insane exploit is a funny wording considering it was the best playstyle you saw everywhere in the ptb, and they didn't change it. There's no way they don't know that that was and is possible to play like this, and they didn't change it obviously xD
7 -
open handed helps bond. You can replace for empathy but that’s only for injured survivors. Use situational awareness and hud to help put pieces together. The perks won’t play the game for you, but they help. I’ve noticed people running kindred help a lot too. Make sure you’re paying attention to not 3 genning yourselves. Best of luck out there!
