Second Wind Changes

second wind has been losing value due to double heals on one survivor and it’s really hurting the usage of the perk. Am I really supposed to tell my teammates to hop off a heal just because I want to be selfish and get one use of second wind? Honestly the perk needs to include the full heal meter for a double heal because this in itself is problematic.

    Double heals? You can just use We'll Make It with Second Wind for speedy heals and a fast way to earn Second Wind.

    That's what I use on my Steve, just run that and it shouldn't really matter in hindsight.

    I honestly just want them to remove the pre activation condition of needing a heal first. To compensate for the huge buff I would increase the broken duration to 30 seconds from 20

    What do you mean by pre-activation of needing a heal first? I think the perk is fine the way it is and increasing it to thirty seconds would be a net nerf as killers notice that you have Second Wind and will hit you down immediately or hit you to make you mend, rendering Second Wind more situational and useless.

    Maybe for the activation it could just be that you need to finish a healing action on another survivor (like Clean Break) as opposed to needing a full heal's worth of progress. Then the double heal thing wouldn't matter anymore, as long as you finished the heal it would count.

    Other than that the perk is fine

    I don’t need to run we’ll make it just to get value out of a perk. I think you fail to realize that when two survivors are healing one, the survivor who has second wind equipped WILL NOT receive the full second wind charge from the heal due to his other friend healing with him. This is what is bugged with the perk

    I would be more in favor of a simpler activation than the full health state

    Honestly, nothing you do to second wind will make it less so in the shadow of Resurgence. It activates for free and effectively accomplishes the exact same thing. I used to love Second Wind and was kind of upset that they buffed Resurgence, completely forgetting about Second Wind's existence.

    There are still situations where Second Wind is better than Resurgence. Resurgence offers a quick heal after being unhooked but it's not instant and still has its weaknesses. Resurgence does nothing if you get tunneled, Second Wind can at least remove deep wound even if you get hit shortly after being unhooked (I've even used a Second Wind + Dead Hard build for this before with anti-tunneling in mind, since Second Wind removing the base-BT deep wound gave me DH back). Resurgence also loses value to sloppy butcher/hemorrhage in general, even if you start healing immediately after the unhook you lose a bit of progress and you'll lose it all if the killer is nearby to interrupt, whereas Second Wind can completely bypass that as well as any form of healing slowdown.
