Bodyblocking to let the trap timer go off is allowed
11 -
that sounds like the most stupid ######### thing i ever heard
5 -
Body blocking isn't bannable or should be reported, but holding the game hostage is...
2 -
-
Would you otherwise have escaped? If yes, then the Killer did the right thing :P
2 -
This is the only situation where it's allowed even if it's scummy , you can die by the trap which isn't holding the game hostage but any other killer would warrant a report if they wouldn't let you out or try to attack you
3 -
she litterally bodyblocked me ON HER FIRST HOOK while 5 gen is still up
0 -
Not bannable but wow thats toxic lol
6 -
everyone says thats not bannable i feel like it is cause she is blocking you from moving away from the basement so she is holding you hostage pretty mutch
- Holding the game hostage
Thats a rule so go ahead and report her id say
2 -
Not bannable. If you didnt have a trap then yes its bannable
Also yey this is my 2019th comment.

How is it holding the game hostage when the survivor can die by the helmet?
6 -
She's literally not holding the game hostage.
1 -
Well, it's not bannable if you're also waiting out BT or either waiting for a survivor to die on hook.
0 -
@Arachne The Pig's actions do not warrant a report because she is technically not holding you hostage.
"But she's blocking me!"
Yes, but the Reverse Bear Trap WILL kill you. By the Pig just standing there your game will end normally, granted by your death, but it will end regardless.
You can only report her for holding your game hostage if you were going to be stuck in that basement forever, or until you DC'd. Since you were going to die, this is clearly not the case.
I am so sorry that you had to deal with such a frustrating experience, but you can easy knowing that such events are the exception, not the rule.
1 -
She cant run away from the basement with is holding her hostage, there is no way out because she is getting blocked. Having a trap on her dosent change the fact she is still stuck and cant attempt to escape.
1 -
What have you done to her lol...
As others have said, it's not bannable but it's certainly very frustrating to deal with as Survivor :P

So it was three people blocked in the basement? Did they all have rbt?
0 -
none of my teammates have bt,i do have ds but she bodyblocked there way past the activated time,2 of my teammates also got stuck with me there,a laurie doing gens and after it's done she just hit all 2 of them with noed.it is such a scummy move,i cant believe the devs allowed bodyblocking basement as a strat.
0 -
Of course not but blocking the stairs just for the sake of trolling and not attacking anyone is absolutely holding the game hostage and very bannable , this is a case where the RBT makes you able to die and not technically doing anything wrong , scummy? Yes but totally allowed
0 -
btw guys the gap is this big yet pig's fat ass wont allow us to go through
0 -
As scummy and stupid it is, it's legit. Sucks to be that survivor, but sucks even more to be that killer.
0 -
This. She's throwing the game for a single guaranteed kill.
0 -
No because holding the game hostage is forcing somebody to DC. triggering the RBT takes like 1 or 2 minutes, if she hits the other guys after that then she's not holding them hostage.
Also the 2 other survivors down there were a side product of the RBT, banning her would be unfair in this case.

@Jonathanskilz By that logic facecamping with leatherface should also be bannable or blocking the stairs of the basement after you hooked somebody down there so the other survivors can't rescue.
0 -
@MhhBurgers I am not saying to ban her just 'cause the others are down there. I am saying that if the Pig still blocked the stairs after the OP died and did nothing then the Pig can be banned.
2 -
wish basement stairs were wider so ######### like this couldnt happen
3 -
I wish killers weren't loopable and actually retained their 115% movementspeed during loops but a killer main can dream.
1 -
Except she didn't hold them hostage either. He already admitted that she hit them with NoED afterward.
1 -
Nice one. I once bodyblocked the last Jigsaw box a survivor had to use. She pointed at me untill the trap went off :-)
3 -
stop walking into objects and u wont slow down. theres ur 115%. learn how to run loops and they wont be a problem at all. or play legion cuz game too hard :(
2 -
Survivors who play perfect are still faster because they have less traveltime around those short objects, maybe go after somebody who's NOT better than you.

You should thank whoever designed those basement stairs.

Not bannable or reportable. Pig didn't hold the game hostage since:
1) Your RBT going off and killing you allowed you out of the game.
2) Once your 4th teammate finished the generators, she hit the other two trapped in the basement with NOED, thereby ending their match through normal mechanics.
3) The final teammate could either use the gates or hatch to escape at that point.
Yeah, it was a crappy thing to do as killer, but since the game ended through normal means in the end (RBT, NOED, gate/hatch escape) the game was not held hostage. Holding the game hostage means the only means of ending it is a DC.

@Mushwin Holding the game hostage isn't when the exit gates are open and people refuse to leave and just bug the killer?
@Arachne So long as she left one person up doing gens I don't even think she was holding the game hostage, just being a taunting killer. It's allowed, don't let it get to you some killers have their fun by being twats like some survivors do.

The basement is meant to be a deathtrap and tbh there should be at least 2 basements for each map either under or close to a very strong loop at all times to punish those abusing them (strode house for example)
2 -
They are not holding the game hostage as the player can die, that's the line between reportable or not.
Yes they are trapped but the timer will run out thus ending that scenario so it as not holding the game hostage it's holding one person in a situation until they die.
The definition of holding the game hostage for reports would be if no trap was on their head and they do not hit anyone, standing there for 10,20,60 minutes etc keepong them trapped in a scenario with no option for the players but to leave the game manually.
While it's a scummy playstyle it works for the achievement but it also wastes 2 minutes of time where the others can do gens and get out.
Running NOED also means if three are down there they can block as long as one person is still alive to get do gens and get the Insta down activated, again not a great tactic and one reason I run bond, do totems and don't rush the basement.

if survivors were faster when looping, every loop would be an infinite. use your strafe keys next time u play killer.
2 -
What? Killers move 10-15% faster than survivors by default and perfect looping has a myriad of counters such as bamboozle, or just plain old bloodlust...plus using Legion makes you even faster and more easily able to counter those loops in comparison to most killers.
I agree that survivors can vault faster but you inevitably WILL catch up to them. If you're wasting too much time you can try to mind game or move to another target
1 -
It is allowed because there is a timer running, thus no hostage
0 -
It's allowed cause you'll die.
Hey, it's way faster than getting slugged.
0 -
lol @ report her. not if she died by the trap so no it isnt reportable. i assume the meg died.
