Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Wow first day and it's a flop

I'm surprised out of all the modifiers and events I've never seen sweat since much in the first day. Tunneling, slugging and camping all wrapped into one. The Jerry cans don't fill up the gens that fast and you can't run without them leaking so survivors are left to walk which makes it easier for the killer to find them. That part isn't a complaint more pointing out that it's easier for killers to find survivors because they need to walk to nor lose any charges but holy hell do people tunnel and camp. I know it's ever modifier but bloodmoon seems to have it the worst.

Edit: Further in the comments I mention that I stood corrected while tunneling and camping isn't fun in general I kinda also noticed killer is just not fun at all this event due to not even getting a gimmick for them while survivors carry Jerry cans around basically getting something new to try killers well not so could've been something like damaging the pumps to cause those to also leak making survivors gather less blood from them.

I don't know if you mean terrible points or points are just handed to you. Since saying dog water points means terrible. But I mean what would do to give killers a ability in the event.

I haven't played killer yet, I'm still on that crow challenge third game in (I swear they dropped the number of crows or something??), but I have noticed my bp gain is pretty meh lol i thought the blood gens would give heaps but nope. But the rewards look cool so at least there's that

Except the hooks aren't that consistent and all look the same! Driving me mad.

Good to know, thanks! I've managed to complete it in that third game but I'll keep that in mind for next time

Tunneling and slugging is the only way to apply pressure sadly. You cant pressure gens at all.

Thank you for actually trying it both sides before posting and acting like this is so much fun for the power role. It's really not, and proves why most Killers do use these perks: Because most Killers are not mobile enough without them to handle a coordinated team. You really need range, mobility, or speed in this event or it's a slaughterfest.

All survivors have to do is focus on blood gens.. they only have 3 pistons which is a complete joke compared to the standard gens. Killers can't use gen defense perks on any of the blood gens besides a kick that does absolute little to nothing. You rely on chase perks and tunneling to at least have something going because gens are flying..

Unpopular opinion: I think it is okay that killers are getting more BP here, considering that they are losing most of their objective defense in order to entretain survivors in chase.

Once again, gen speeds increase (blood gens) and people find killers camp, tunnel and slug more. How do people not see a connection here? Faster gens pop, faster killers need to kill. High mobility killers will usually opt for slugging because it's faster and other killers will camp and tunnel to make sure they eliminate 1 asap.

Because said people dont want to see the connection. They just want to strip away killer gameplay until they can get easy wins and make everything better for themselves at the expense of what should be the power role.

Mobility killers are just becoming the only viable killer in the game and its not going to end well for the game.

Well they have them now. I can't say I find making Survivor easier is any fun for me when I play Survivor… why bother? I know I'm just gonna win if it's anyone other than Kaneki, Nurse, Blight, Billy or Wesker…

The lunar event style gen of giving all survivors BP on completion needs to be the standard

The Jerry cans don't fill up the gens that fast and you can't run without them leaking so survivors are left to walk which makes it easier for the killer to find them.

The distance between the Blood Pumps and Blood Generators is often small so you can just run between them to save time without wasting too much of the Blood.

From my experience, you can normally complete a Blood Generator in 3-4 rotations between the Blood Pump and Blood Generator, there is also quite literally very little the Killer can do to stop them from progressing if you play your cards right. My average time per Blood Generator was around 55 seconds per Blood Generator, much faster than the base 90 seconds for a normal Generator.

This is also ignoring the fact that Blood Generators also bypass many Killer powers or their speed outright makes many powers unusable. Ive really tried, but I cannot make Pig, or any set-up Killer, work during this event without getting severely destroyed by the game mechanics actively working against me.

Holy hell do people tunnel and camp.

When Generator Speeds are increased for an event and you have no tools to stop it, people are going to rely on shortcutting their objective as much as possible. Also, since the gameplay brings nothing new for Killer, and there are no incentives for playing the event as Killer, most of the people playing the gamemode are insanely sweaty and/or playing insanely strong Killers to compensate.

Tunneling and camping are already bad, this event is just going to make things worse (at least for the event queue). It really is awful, quite literally this might be the first and only "Im not playing the game at all" event from how awful it is.

I stick to normal gens now. You get 2000 For Gen + 2000 Finishing Gen + Skillcheck Bps.

I personally don’t find the sniping that big of a deal considering it all goes to a community pool anyways to be shared. So on my end I feel like I do get that back, even if it isn’t an instant return. Please whatever it takes, get that gen done. I’m probably an anomaly.

Yeah, I'm getting close to that. My friend has joined me and we're trying to coordinate doing blood gens together, but even still we're getting sniped. "No plan survives contact with the enemy."

As a 80% survivor, I do not even want to play survivor this entire event but queues are so whack now even night time is awful for killer. This event or tomes in general is always easier as killer since well I decide how the match goes as killer.

Honestly even I feel to abandon survivor and be a killer main as win or lose mean nothing to me. I do not camp or tunnel and always 4th hatch if they gave me some great chase and mind game. Hell sometimes ill even let 2 people live or all if I feel the game is ending too fast.

Really was impressed with how well a Lara outplayed me as venca using the eye and locker her to safety after an amazing 360.

Maybe if the blood generators didn't negate tons of killer perks (Brutal, Nowhere To Hide, Fire Up, etc), it would be more fun, and less killers would sweat. But this whole gimmick seems extremely boring to me. Do generators, and then poor blood for other generators, which btw will unnecessarily confuse the killer because A) the blood gets left on the ground while being carried, even by healthy people, and B) the blood generators have orange light coming from them, similar to how regressing gens have orange sparks. Totally not confusing to players at all. 🤦‍♀️ It's funny to hear people complain about killers being able to kick and start regressing blood generators, like that's an added benefit that's way overkill or something. And of course people are complaining about the new killer still, because he just came out. When has it ever been fun or healthy where a new character drops in a game, and the players playing them get guilt tripped for playing with that new character? Makes no sense at all, and it just creates animosity between players.
