Do you think the surrender option will be abused in the future?

Many players are currently using the "surrender feature" during the endgame Mori animation or whenever this feature flashes (in the top right corner). Why do people do this? Do they think they won't lose MMR iv they give up? I can't think of any other reason.

Either way, I'm in favor of those who don't give up being rewarded at the end or in future games. That's why I'm looking forward to “Go next”.

Have any of you similar experiences as a survivor or killer?

Of course it will be abused. You can't trust gamers to be decent.

If anything, getting upset about something so insignificant just encourages survivors to keep doing it.

I mean, even as someone who plays more killer than survivor, the match is over. What difference does it make if someone essentially watches you emote or not?

I legit have a hard time seeing how this could be abused at all. If everyone is down and they start surrendering, what's gonna change? That you have to carry bots to hooks or surrender yourself?

I don't get anything for being Moried, so why should I stay If I can go next?

I love the surrender option as both survivor and killer. My only gripe is that it abruptly ends. Been a good match, all the way to the end then it just ends. A bit anti climatic. Other than that, as a survivor I get to go to the next match fast while the killer mops up the kills. And as killer I don't need to worry about hatch or infinite hiding. Since the surrender option the hatch hasn't spawned once because people either wait out the 10min hiding or they admit defeat, run to me to get downed then they abandon while I kill the 2 remaining bot slugs.

Once you've seen a mori once or twice it's not really that exciting. You'd rather just get to the next game

While I don't play anymore and therefore don't really care for survivor ditching the killing animation, I hope killer also get a surrender option for example when all remaining survivor are in reach of the open exit. At that point the majority of the killer roster can't achieve anything real anymore, except maybe getting a pity hit. So it would be nice to have that option.

Now you really have me confused. The option is only usable under very specific circumstances. If all Survivors are slugged, or all of your teammates are bots (for Survivor). And if all Survivors are bots, or no gen has been completed in the last ten minutes (for Killer). So how exactly can this be abused?

So you're just worried about losing MMR if you surrender? It makes sense, but I would consider it a blessing in disguise. When you get to the so-called "high MMR" bracket, you start facing Killers who have to rely on tunneling/camping/slugging just to stand a chance. And as Killer, you start facing Survivors who want to bust gens with brand new parts, or run Boil Over or sabo builds and the like. So if people don't like facing those kinds of builds and tactics, then why do they want high MMR?
