Text chat on consoles?
So the in-game text chat got some adjustments on PC, but is there a reason why this is still not available for consoles? If support for mouse and keyboard is coming for consoles in the future, then surely that opens the window for text chat to become available, right? It's also wild that console players even have an option in Reports to report someone for text chat despite not even being able to access it. @Mandy could you inform us if any change is being considered?

Because we don't want it and we don't need all the negativity that comes with it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It's also kinda redundant with cross-progression since anyone who wants to chat probably has this on PC already, so they can just play it on PC and chat. We do have a report feature for nasty messages that works well native to console, and on top of that most people also turn off their messages because they don't want to talk to the dregs of the fog. Chat can stay on PC, we've been fine for going on a decade without it.

Negativity comes in all games with text chat, this is not new. Players do not need to engage with text chat if they do not want to, but there is still no reason why it cannot be made accessible to all. Interesting that you use "we" to insinuate you speak for all huh…

When the vast majority of console players you come across have their messages turned off, that's a obvious way of saying we don't want to engage with anyone, period. End of story.

A lot of the players that do that are toxic themselves, nah don't give me that bull. Regardless the question is directed to BHVR, not you. You don't get to decide if something is "end of story" or not, so kindly do something else if you just want to wave your schlong about.
