I've not even finished all of the 2nd part of the blood moon tome and I own everything?
Is this not proof there was supposed to be more (the ones the said were for next year?) it just seems a bit odd, this is the first event I've gotten all the cosmetics this easily. Could we even make it purchasable for Auric Cells, I really want that Gabriel top lol

For some reason, the button in the banner that says "Go To The Event Tome" actually takes you to Page 3. Using that, I calculated that we can get around double trinkets than what is required for us to unlock all of the event cosmetics.
Last year's Blood Moon also had a fairly small cosmetic offering as well, but it is strange to me that we can get many more trinkets than are required for unlocking everything. Normally, event trinket rewards are more stringent, if not perfectly calculated so that we can only unlock everything by completing every challenge.
Maybe it's meant to be in keeping with the theme of "Lots of BP!" because we'll get a huge payout of Bloodpoints after the event ends.

This is a optimistic theory and I love it, like for every 100 blood trinkets leftover you get 100k BP or something

Possibly, but the conversion is usually really minimal so that's why I doubt it's to fit that theme… unless they've changed it for this event.
Otherwise I guess it is what it is2 -
I don't even know the conversion rate, given that I've almost never had trinkets after an event because the trinket economy is usually so strict. I think the first Blood Moon is the only event that I've had trinkets left over for, and that's because I didn't play the event much.
Hopefully they have changed the conversion rate for the event because, unless they are holding some unlockable cosmetics in reserve as some kind of milestone reward for the event challenge, we're going to have a lot of left over trinkets.

Oh maybe, I didn't think of a community milestone, that would be wonderful, I guess I'll hold out hope yet

I thought that might be the case because of the phrase "The more blood flows, the more other things might change beneanth the Blood Moon…" Under the "Global Bloodpoints Bonus" section of the event overview. We've had the lobby change, so I wonder whether completing one of the later goals will unlock more cosmetics. It does seem strange otherwise to have so many trinkets be earnable during the event.

The reason you get so much excess currency is because at the beginning of the event tome/currency system, you needed to complete almost every challenge to get everything. However, some diehard killer and survivor mains simply couldn't accept that they had to play the other role and complained a lot. That's why you get enough currency to buy everything even if you only play one side.

This is one of the reasons, yes. They are doing this for quite some itme now and IMO it is good that they are doing it. However, it would not explain why there is so much excess currency.
This is most likely the reason because some of the cosmetic were not ready for the Blood Moon-Event, which would have otherwise been able to be purchased with the event currency.

I, for one, appreciate the wiggle room. No one should be forced to play the role they don't like for the sake of cosmetics. And on top of that, some people may have limited time to play, so may not have time to complete every challenge even if they wanted to.

Let's see if at least the trinckets -> BP exchange is good when the event is over (It won't)
