Ghostface is coming to 2v8!
On the PTB Quests 2v8 tab shows a quest to play ghostface once in 2v8
Idk how's he's gonna be viable with 8 survivors constantly breaking him out unless they buffed his reveal resistance. But I think he'll play more like a support marking survivors so the other killer can instant down

Yeah, this is what the mode needs - challenges to play Killer in 2v8 so that queue times will be even more awful. (:
Cant wait for 2v8 to come back again with 0 incentive to play Survivor so that you never get a game as Killer. Yay.

I mean, Nurse got buffs for 2v8. So the odds are Ghostface will also get some improvements.

First, I hope there will be a chance to double stack Ghostfaces.
Second, I hope they will wait with the next 2v8 for at least a few months. It barely changes between iterations, and problems are left over from older iterations on top of new ones.
Polish the mode out first, and only then reintroduce it.

Could be fixed by putting MMR into the mode, since casual random fun is "miserable." I know there'll be backlash to that idea, but there's backlash to the mode anyway.

Not gonna happen but it would be fun if they allowed two Ghostface killers.

Maybe they remove the reveal machanic, that way your teammates need to take hits for eachother, in turn supporting the other killer

I'm kidding obviously I've been playing this game 8 years but the only time I ever see Ghostface get revealed is if I'm Ghostface!
I went against one this morning nobody was revealing him no matter what even when he was out in the open.
I'm all for a few ghostie buffs & I don't mind him in 2vs8 hope they do something to fix the reveal someday though for both sides!
& damn it devs PLEASE give me one of my main killers so I'm not trapper every game or stuck on survivor 🙏🏻

I can't see Gf being great, but until I see what his 2v8 buffs are I'm holding my judgment. They made trapper a legit anti loop killer in 2v8 so maybe they'll give Ghostfaces expose and killer Instinct reveal to their team. Maybe Ghostface will be a support like the OG Billy

The traps are the the thing where it gets complicated, as it's a strategic-power. I don't know how to exactly make them "fair" in 2v8. Would need to test.
For the rest of her kit:
- JMF basekit (maybe even faster movement speed)
- Workshop grease basekit
- Longer ambush duration
More should not be needed. Pig would be an incredibly strong partner for a lot of killers due to her in build slowdown and insta-kill-mechanic.

^ this. IMO it is pointless to bring 2v8 back so soon if it just results in super long Killer queues and trying to get Survivors to play the mode with a giga Bloodpoint-Incentive. This is just not it and will not work.
I can honestly not see Pig being added to the mode. 2v8 is so fast-paced, I doubt that it would be balanced to have Pig there with her Traps, where Survivors off Gens would shift it even more into killer-sided AND there is a second Killer around to force people off Boxes.

I think every killer is going to be implemented eventually. Killers like Pig, Pinhead or Sadako are just a lot harder to balance. The traps definitely would need to be reevaöuated in terms of strenght.

Highly doubt that every Killer will be implemented, simply because of the license holders. The one from RE seemed to be quite chill about it, but I dont see the strict license holders of A Nightmare on Elm Street be willing to have their Horror Icon in a game with a different Killer.
And some things will just be very hard to be balanced. Alongside Pig, Pinhead and Sadako, Dredge instantly comes into mind.
When it comes to Pig, yes, her Traps would need to be seriously weaker in 2v8. And while I always appreciate weaker Traps to have the rest of her Kit stronger (IMO the Dash and Stealth need way more love), I am also not really a fan of toning down her Traps to a point that they are basically a non-issue for the Survivor, just because it would be too hard to implement them with a second Killer running around.

I dont think the traps need to be towned down in general, as it is what makes her unique. We dont need dash-killer nr. 26.
As far as I remember, Lions gate was pretty generous when it comes to good Piggy. I think getting her in there should not be too big of a problem, but then again, what do I know.
Maybe just having 4 traps or having less earches overall would be enough.
