Why developers hate stealth in game?

There is no time for hide-and-seek, the pace demands fast games. Any time when the killer is not in chase the gamplay just feels bad. Drastic changes would be needed to make stealth a part of the game again.

Plague negates all heal build and med kits which also kills your altruistic emblem for free. Lightborn stops all blind perks and prevent team work of saving a killer tunneling your teammates or which prevents wasting as much of th killer time as possible in chase. Why should 1 perk negate all of a survivor few defenses?

I really don’t understand this logic. If I build into full stealth , I don’t get upset when I get a killer that has a bunch of haste and traversal that’s built as an anti-loop that opts for chase perks and gen slowdown , because I OPTED to not use any of my perk slots to help in chase with speed. Sure it would counter that one specific area SURVIVOR AURA READING. There’s more than spies for tracking. So what if it’s an 8yr old perk, a counter is a counter, you just had to swap out 1 singular spot?Spies is still good even if it is old. Distortion didn’t make you invincible. The devs said before the distortion users were still dying and it wasn’t some super advantageous perk that guaranteed escape, so if power is the arguement they weren’t escaping more…. I’m tired of going back and forth about this perk. It’s legit ### now, I guess unless you’re using it just to find out what the killer is running to counter that, not my style but do you. Better perks out there that buy the team time it’s F tier in my book. Time is king more than anything else in this game.

I do wish at least the maps were darker, maybe not like as dark as they used to be in the "olden days" of 2016-2019-ish but a lot of maps feel artificially brightened from how I remember them.
Personally I don't mind survivors using stealth, especially if they're bad at looping. It's just a problem if survivors hide excessively, to the point of not touching generators and they let everyone die to try and get the hatch, etc.
I think both stealth and looping playstyles should be viable so players with different skill-sets can still be somewhat effective.

Because people seem to think chase means loop but it's doesn't. It is possible to be chased across the map through multiple locations, lose line of sight. While people think hiding isn't fun some people think circling the same pallet for ages isn't fun either. As both survivor and killer I can honestly say certain loops are incredibly boring, like the shack. Either killer follows through the chase and endures the boring circle or they end chase knowing it's not worth the time which isn't fun for killer or survivor that enjoys chases.
