Is Tier 1 Infectious Fright better than Tier 3?
This question is mostly about visual alarms in general. Every time this perk or any similar alarm goes off I have trouble spotting the survivor because I have a big red icon hovering over their location. Normally I'd just accept it as an offset to revealing the survivor's position, but in this instance I feel like something needs to be done since the only change upgrading this perk does is to make this problem worse.

This basically. A location ping which is its current form is just trash, not to mention it's only on a down hit. It should've been an aura show like DudeDelicious mentioned or maybe on any hit, not just a downing hit, then we might have some potential. So many perks are just left pitifully weak which is why the meta perks have hardly changed at all since the game was released.

I agree. I think that the notification should be set to 3 seconds for all tiers, then it should make survivors glow red (think like Legion's Frenzy) for 4/5/6 seconds. Not an aura so it's fair, but not an annoying bubble that you can't see through either.
