Does the new Abandon option affect MMR?
An example:
As the killer, after sacrificing two survivors and having the other two hiding and not repairing for 10 minutes, the Abandon option will trigger. If I use that option, will I still gain MMR points for the two I sacrificed?
And does killing or sacrificing a bot still count for MMR?

yes, abandoning match as either side gives the same outcome as how plain DCing used to give

First question - yes, you will gain MMR for the two Survivors you have sacrificed.
Second question - Yes, there is no difference between killing/sacrificing a Bot and an actual player when it comes to MMR.

I think its more the question around the, all survivors disconnecting one.
Lets say that i slug all 4 survivors, and they all abandon, so they get counted as a loss. But now, the entire game is all bots, so if i leave the game do i also lose? If so i could see this being not so great as it defaltes MMR for everyone in the game Whereas normally MMR is (at least a little bit) zero sum.
Realistically, it should probably count as a win for the killer in that case and not be an "abandon". The other cases all seem to explicitly be about surrendering, which is fine, but the killer ones are a bit more fuzzy.

yeah that will probably devolve into a thing. Maybe it shouldn’t affect mmr.

to some people the invisible number has a death grip on them because:
holding a three gen until people quit though doesn’t really make you the very best(they think it should boost their mmr). Slow clap you figured out the easiest way to play killer, and one of the hardest things for survivors to break. I would call it a mechanic flaw.

It matters when people start tanking their MMR to be put in lobbies with new players. Any decent experienced player will want to keep mmr up to avoid going against new players and ruining the experience for them.

This is exactly what I want to know. The killer shouldn't be forced to stay in a match of all bots to get their win. If only bots are left in the game the abandon should give the "4k" to the killer and count as a win for mmr purposes.

it’s part of the anti-slug mechanic because killers were just slugging survivors and letting them bleed out. You can thank them for this. The only time it’s triggered for me is when I’ve been repeatedly slugged and not picked up.

Right those people caused this I agree. It doesn’t change the problem though. Even just adding like 30 seconds to the timer before it pops up would help.

does anyone know how much time has to be accumulated on the ground for the anti slug mechanic to kick in for survivor? Or do I need to get a friend to go test this?

As far as I’m aware it’s instant, no time requirement.

I’m pretty sure it’s not instant and that’s just some residual survivor “i don’t want to play” mentality. It literally has only triggered for me less than a handful of times.

We found out it didn't trigger in custom matches, but from my own experience, it does trigger in public matches if everyone is slugged or hooked as soon as the last survivor falls.

Indeed the option for survivor to abandon is instant when last survivor is downed. I've had many matches where 2 remain, I downed one and the other was right next to them so I downed them both. I don't even have enough time to put 1 of them on hook before they turn into bots.

What if all 4 survivors abandon the match and the killer does too. Does the mmr go up? I didnt think it did but I could have misread.

yes because it triggers in scenarios where everyone is down(pure slugged across the board) or hooked mix of the two. Whether or not it’s a bot the last 5 seconds of the game on the down isn’t going going to mess with mmr for you as killer. The player just said “nope I don’t want to see the Mori again” basically and you’re going to Mori the bot instead. Anything that means all players are “out of commission” triggers abandon. It’s pretty strict on the survivor end for when it allows it, and if they abandon it still counts as a loss for them(but they were losing anyways).

the bots that remain can end up jumping off the hook or using unbreakable to get back up. 1 second its clear cut 4k, all players abandon and turn to bots. The next min a bot is somehow up and running around possibly unhooking other bots or heading for hatch (which has happened to me). IV even had a bot use DS on me when I'm picking up seconds after the survivor abandoned. I've had a few matches like that so I wouldn't say it's that strict. It would be nice to know if MMR is effected for killer in these situations. Does it get effected if killer abandons when all are bots? Does it get effected if a bot escapes the hatch? Is it worth wasting time playing with bots?
On a side note, survivors can skip the mori/hook animation because they want to save time and don't want to see it again... Personally I would like the same for killer. An option to abandon when all gens are done and everyone is at the gate so I don't have to waste time going to the exit to force them out and seeing the t bagging again.

I've only ever had this be an issue when I am winning too hard as Killer (not even slugging, I just got a bad team) or the Killer was hardcore slugging from the start - both of which I rarely see, and both of which feel less common these days since this was introduced.
I bet sore winners on Surv side in the exit gates would be similarly fixed if we had Bot Killers, and the Killer could leave the game as soon as it's clear they have badly lost.0 -

It matters because if an excessive twins slugger somehow manages to "lose" games while also forcing a loss for all survivors by slugging them down and waiting for like 100 seconds, it'll give negative MMR for super sweaty killers like that, allowing them to repeatedly match with least capable of all the survivors
Basically, if people can "win" while losing MMR, they can abuse those mechanics to absolutely bulldoze and damage lower tier/casual players, which kills the entire point of MMR and game itself

This is my issue as well. I understand if you were letting them bleed out, but that's not what's happening. There should be at least some buffer time for you to hook before they're all able to instantly abandon and force you to stay with bots till the end.
This would be the equivalent of if killers were allowed to instantly abandon as soon as the last gen pops. However if the survivors abandon then, then it doesn't give them the mmr win, so they're forced to stay and play out the rest of the match with a bot killer. That would be a terrible experience as well.

It's not much of a big deal because bots can be handy for farming BP but I do think a buffer would be better. Maybe have the abandon option available if there is definitively no way of getting back up (no DS in play, no unbreakable or totem, survivor on 2nd hook stage). Still not very satisfying to down the last person and then have to hook a bot but its better than people abandoning instantly when there is a way to recover and continue the match.
Or give survivors the equivalent to a hook timer, when that time expires they can abandon, this would make more sense being as the abandon feature was designed to help people get out of a match that the killer is intentionally leaving everyone slugged for 4min. It was not intended to give people the option to leave the match the second they get downed so they don't have to see out the end of the match.
