Bad luck or is Chaos Shuffle full of tryhards?
Every single killer was running map offerings and they've all been Ghoul/Nurse etc, you get the picture.
I thought this was the meme around mode?

This mode was always full of tryhards.
Since people can't choose perks, but CAN choose everything else, they just get the strongest add-ons and offerings to compensate for the lack of meta perks. Survivors bring styptics, BNPs, syringes and map offerings all the time. Killers bring the strongest add-ons, sometimes map-offerings and they tunnel because they know survivors are going to tryhard too, but are less likely to have Off the Record or Decisive Strike.
It sucks, I know. But it's been like that since the first time this mode was implemented, and the devs NEVER made any change to it for some reason. Literally the only game mode that never got any change between multiple releases.

Not a single survivor I have been with has brought sweaty stuff and a big chunk of them don't bring anything at all.

What do you expect? As long bhvr doesnt become enlightend, killers can just rely on the cheapest game flaws they can find. So the mode doesnt matter, their "gameplay" is always the same. Chaos shuffle just eliminates those annoying perk builds, the rest is still the same. Why do you think so many people play ghoul? Cause hes basically an autobot to play as with bugs that benefits him even more.

even stacked BNP or syringes can't keep up with a killer that is decent or better at camping and/or tunneling. Anti-tunnel/camp perks get rarely thrown in for survivors (just a matter of statistics) so anyone who wants to can use and abuse these core mechanics to their heart's content. - Which is exactly what happened ever since the second iteration of the mod.

The only meme I got when I tried it was being humped on the ground for 4 minutes after killer tunneled one person out.
After another game I noped tf out of that mode. No need for more masochism than I already have in normal mode.

it’s the opposite for me as killer when I played the regular game every survivor brought syringes, BNp and rushed every Gen and I couldn’t get one hook

Then you were either lucky or unlucky depending on how you view it.
I just had my first Chaos Shuffle match today and there was already a player with both a syringe and a styptic.
On my second match, a survivor brought a map offering.
Good to mention these matches happened AFTER I made my last comment. It was not a prediction, just how this mode is, all the time.

And in my third match, a BNP.
I'm telling you, it happens all the time.

Most of my matches have at least one map offering, from survivors and killers alike.
Got a tunneling TTV. Went to his stream after and got to hear the streamer mocking me for getting tunneled.
Not the best DbD experience so far.

Yeah, I’ve gotten some bad luck tonight too. I’ve played 5 matches so far, it was a total wipe out for all 5. My last one I got immediately tunneled out and that was pretty much my sign to get off.
Will try again tomorrow! Maybe luck will change
Update next day: 4 matches, 3 were stomps inclduing a good ol' slug hump, and the 4th one the killer Ken quit and went afk. (I think they had to do something irl cause he could have very easily one the game but he kinda just stopped mid chase) So…that's 1 win, kinda lol.
Yeah, 1 out of 9 matches, it being an undeserved win because of afk…I don't think the numbers are on my side for this go round. I'll probably just stick to regular, as I can at least get some value from my perks. Good luck in your next matches everyone!Post edited by hermitkermit on3 -
Historically, most of my Chaos Shuffle matches have had either insane add-ons, insane toolboxes, insane tunneling or a combination of all three. Then when I go play regular queue people are often much more chill. It sucks because I find Chaos Shuffle pretty fun as you get to try different perks and try to get value out from even the most niche of them. But it's hard when the match is quickly over either due to genrush or tunneling...

Chaos Shuffle was never a meme mode and people were always bringing map offerings and busted map offerings + items and addons to compensate for getting random perks in loadout. The only thing that should've been done is item/addon randomizer and disabling map offerings.

In theory it should be a fun mode where you try and make use of whatever cards you're delt and get use out of perks you never use, bringing in some varied gameplay.
In reality, it's awful and once someone is hooked, it's proxy camp and tunnel as its very unlikely the survivor will have a perk to combat it. Likewise, survivors normally ignore their perks and just bring syringes, BNPs or styptics and slam gens. Just becomes totally one dimensional and no fun at all. Why this mode has come back again so soon, I don't really know?
I love using unusual perks and making builds around them, but I won't be touching this mode just like I didn't last time. It's just zero fun unfortunately.

I played a few games, then just decided to leave the mode.
It's the same thing as before, there is NO reason to play, as I already got to the part of the rift where there are Bloodpoints only and don't care about Rift Fragments, there is no Tome, and the entire thing is just an afterthought to bridge the gap between Blood Moon and the Steady Pulse release (which, I think we could survive without Chaos Shuffle).

I tried it yesterday I had a proxy campaign Huntress and you know this against solo q team we had no chance to do anything, then the next game I had a slugging Blight i said to myself after that I'm not interested in this Mode anymore.

- For me this mode is fun. It reminds me of how many horrible perks exist in this game🤣 But guys, I still have to understand how you can compare a survivor's syringe to the killer's hard tunneling (with consequent exclusion of a survivor and therefore a very difficult game)... it's not exactly the same thing

That's why I would love to see stats around Chaos mode specifically, where there are no perks to throw off the balance and everyone is actually trying their hardest.
Let's see those kill rates soar, baby!
