Ghostface and Oni being added to next 2v8!
New survey just released for the next iteration of 2v8 which confirms Ghostface, Oni, and Fog crystals coming out in May (assuming people vote for it).
Survey can currently only be found in game.

They are going to have to decrease or even remove Ghost Faces detection because if they keep him as he is now it will be impossible to stay in your power with how many survivors there will be.

Even in 1v4 if 1 survivor is chasing you it's a huge problem, for 2v8 they should try really hard to make it playable

Yeah, I hope this doesn't become a Nemesis situation where they barely tweak the killer and they end up falling behind, and it would be a lot worse for Ghost Face since he is already one of the weaker killers on the roster.

Oni will need huge changes, largely because of legion. If both of them are simply released to 2v8 unchanged, it will be the most absurdly broken combo ever.

There is already a legion-Nurse/blight, and considering the huge number of pallets and the fact that each down spends 8+ seconds of Oni power, it is not that strong

Seemed to be the most pointless survey ever & I can't imagine any of the 3 questions will change anything they have planned, nor do I believe they can actually make a difference to killer queues regardless what they do in the future!
But with all that said finally I have a killer other than Trapper in 2 vs 8 I have any desire to play! Can't wait for Oni!

What's the point of making each new version of 2v8 entirely killer focused instead of improving the survivor experience (the side that isn't attracting enough players)? Shouldn't the hype of playing killer with a friend be enough of a draw considering the long queue times in every previous attempt?

It's like adding at least a few new classes for survivors is too much of a task lol. But is it really surprising when they had the idea to include bots last time?

Yes if you invite me into the party or join me <3. It‘s always kinda difficult to reach you (especially with time zones being like 6-8 hours apart).

I really hope they remove Legion then, as Legions ability to get cheap free hits with Frenzy is going to be downright unfair combined with Oni.

Well this is 2v8 they ain't going to rework him or do major changes just for a killer teammate.
Since we know how devs do this for 2v8 Oni will get large buffs More orbs, more duration, faster activation is my bet to what they will do

Oof, My least favourite Killer is coming to 2V8 (Ghost Face). I guess it had to happen one day. I'm not Oni's biggest fan either and no juicy incentives this time, so I might be sitting this one out. Or adding to the Killer queue times waiting to play the odd embarrassing Legion game.
Disappointed to see that once again, there don't appear to be any new Survivor classes planned (especially since only two of the 4 are any fun). But I am excited to see the void bombs added to the mode because those are lots of fun.

I wonder what they will actually do to these two Killers for powers? it's so exciting to see the addition of them, as well as these "Fog Crystals" whatever those are. I wonder if they will make it harder to see the map or darken the map in some way? Imagine - darker stealthier maps could add a jumpscare element to the already chaotic 2v8 mode!

No incentives is deal-breaking for me. I play with 3-4 cobblers/bloody party streamer every game with my friends.
Playing 2v8 for 30-40k BP might not work for me.
We should enable BP offerings in this mode.

if BPs are the only thing that gets you going to play the game and this mode, you are simply just fundamentally not enjoying the game at all.

I wouldn't agree. I find more enjoyment in normal mode, that's all.
Playing killer would be so much better tho, I would prefer that in 2v8 but waiting time is just too long for me. I always play side that has smallest waiting time

i also find more enjoyment in normal mode since it's much less chaos yeah, but was never bothered with BPs at all they were even quite often sitting at 2M cap because i just couldn't bother spending them

I also feel like 2v8 chases take away power from me, as a survivior when 2 people are chasing me. There is literally nothing I can do.
On top of gameplay I enjoy prestiging my characters. It gives more depth and reasons for me to play. I came from grind games when I came to dbd. That's what I am used to do. I am now having 11x p100 and 4x p75, I enjoy the grind and accomplishment from "finishing" another character.

I'm hopeful they do something with Ghostie's reveal. He now has double the eyes on him, it could become a problem if the Devs aren't careful. He could functionally NEVER get his power…

Your chase gains as Survivor are multiplicative/exponential; by sheer numbers, being chased by 2 killers is efficient and the "easiest" way to win games.
I love that challenge, because I can take direct credit for buying a team escape.

2v8 is meant to be SUPER casual. Everything in 2v8 is broken. The killers, their powers (except Nemesis), the loops, the amount of pallets, the survivor classes etc.
It doesn't need to be overbalanced. People just need to learn to have fun.
