probably to modernize the game and "make it easier" for newer players as these are color rarities theyre familiar with (uncommon is also being changed from yellow to green)
The problem with this is that there are already plenty of guides out there and a new player watching these and seeing the colors be different is just gonna cause more confusion. This isnt even mentioning the accessibility issues these caused on the PTB. I am REALLY against this change and I REALLY hope they revert it.

Even if the train can't be stopped, if nothing else a "classic colours" option would be nice... 😒

Also me looking at my uncommon thingymabobs:

This is a great idea because it mostly solves the problem of tutorials and videos referencing the wrong colors :)

Idk about everyone, but I'm installing a "classic" pack from Nightlight the moment these colors will go live

Another example of "don't fix what ain't broken"

Also, as someone who wasn't on the PTB and only now found out about the visual changes of the rift and quests:
Why does it look like a cheap mobile game now?
Why, BHVR? Why does every UI or visual update look so horrendous?

From what I heard it was "to put the systems more in line with other games." I think that's stupid though, why can't dbd have a little bit of personality to it? Why does it have to look like everything else?

I am very against these changes. Don't fix what ain't broken.
And the correct rarity colors will always be: Brown → Yellow → Green → Purple → Red7 -
I can't imagine being the least bit upset about this. If you've played DBD long enough, do you even look at the colors? Don't you just know everything already that you need to know about BNPs, White/Black Wards, etc.? To whom is this confusing?
If you're new enough that you haven't memorized everything yet, then you haven't memorized the colors so the transition should be an easy one.
I'm not saying anyone's opinions are invalid, but I do not get it.

It’s so frustrating. No matter how many times people complain about BHVR making changes that nobody is asking for, they keep doing it anyway. There are so many things they have needlessly spent time and effort on that could have been better spent on changes that people actually want.

Well at least there will always be nightlight to save our eyes from these new colours.

It looks SO bad
It looks like a mobile game. Why are the icons so small, I need a magnifying glass!
Why. Just… why?
What was wrong with Ultra Rare?

I'm updating now, but looking at that I already know I'm going to hate it.
I get that nobody will like or hate every choice the devs make but when it comes to UI changes they seem to overwhelming miss with their core player base everytime then take the well they'll get used to it eventually approach.
This won't help keep the incoming fnaf players in the game because they'll all come in as lambs to the slaughter, (,both in game & grind) all realise this is nothing like fnaf & the vast majority will quit within weeks!

I'm not even colorblind and I'm not gonna lie, that shade of blue and purple look very similar when you quickly glance over.
Genuinely terrible.

It's awful…Justice for Yellow!

I don't mind it but updates like this make me wonder why BHVR doesn't just allow people to set the icons colors and such without mods. If it's readability again just allowing players to set the colors would probably be a more approachable option but maybe that overcomplicates things.
I do prefer the old icon colors but I just saw no reason to change them and I haven't read the patch notes closely enough to understand the reason with changing them.
I'll get used to the new ones but if they decide to roll back I hope it's soon because it will likely confuse new people starting for FNAF if they roll back after that update. I am indifferent on either though. I already have troubles seeing certain colors already due to color deficiency with my vision so this doesn't really affect me either way.

JUSTICE FOR YELLOW!!!

Not to sound dramatic, but this may unironically be the proverbial straw for me.
I just cannot be asked to relearn every rarity, and have it conflict with the basic stuff I’ve known for years.
It’s just exhausting to even think about.

It's a bad day to love yellow :(

Its god awful, I usually just grab the bps, cakes, puddings & then auto the bloodweb & sure I just have to remember cakes / puddings are green now & bps are blue.
But when leveling up is tedious enough & when i've spent 8 years on this game, the whole UI update & the new quest system are horrible, maybe they do wanna cater to the here today gone in a week new kids incoming.
But as someone who has supported this game with loyalty for so long they genuinely couldn't seem to care less about those players anymore!

Tossing in my two cents just to have more voices expressing displeasure.
It really feels like we're losing our identity as a game. I really liked that the rarity was different. I liked things being called "rituals" and having challenges in "tomes" and the like. It was fun. It was unique. It felt like a game with its own identity and vibe. It really does just feel like all the others now. I'm so not here for the fortnitification of my favorite game.

Almost every single UI-related change in this patch is a blunder. Kind of impressive.
