What is the general consensus about Sacrificial wards?
I know alot of times when I see something like a Badham map offering with basement offering, I just KNOW it's going to be a frustrating match. Same is true for red moris (not AS bad now days). There's just some offerings that make someone groan when they see the offerings screen because you just KNOW the upcoming match is gonna be a sweaty one.
That being said... do you think Sacrificial ward is on this list? When you see one, do you assume it's gonna be a sweaty match? Just had someone DC loading in and was wondering if maybe my Sac Ward got someone to quickly alt+f4, even though there wasn't even a map offering.

Nah i think people that use Sac wards want the game to be as fair as possible. Map offerings are unfair and sac wards do nothing none are brought, so sac wards are not unfair they are fair.

No I love survivors playing them, it means I won't have to deal with eyrie, garden of joy, the game or some other horrible map because of a offering. Of course it can still be a horrible map because of rng, but I like that 100 times more than a bad map because of a map offering xD

I'm just curious what Sac Ward will do once the map offerings get nerfed. A mere 20% chance to get sent to a particular map (and we won't even know when the offering is played anymore) hardly seems like anything to worry about. I think Sac Wards would need an entirely different function…

Only the deepest respect for survivors that bring Sac ward. Understandable if killer brings it. It's not the offering for someone that wants to sweat and get the most powerful map they can. Bringing sac ward is like saying "let's keep this as fair as possible and make sure we go to a random realm, not a cherry picked one".

I would expect the exact opposite. People who play sac wards are trying to avoid the sweat.

Dont think they should be necessary
Map offerings or … map decision making should be reserved for custom games.2 -
Sac Wards just tell me they want as a fair a match as possible. That seems reasonable.
Red Mori's make me think they're gonna sweat. I'd personally prefer them removed entirely. They clog the web when I'm on killer from getting more ultra rare addons anyway.

I generally don't mind, but when I'm trying to use a map offering to get a specific map for an achievement, and another Victim plays Sacrifial Ward, it can get frustrating.
Getting 'Shelter Woods' is hard enough as is, because the same offering is shared with 4 other maps, without having my map offering completely nullified.

not much, but i just think they should block moris from being used, i don't see the wards that much but i do use moris for the purpose mainly of knowing who is on death hook because i lose track way often and i don't want to kill a survivor at 3/4/or 5 gens, but when i see a ward with my mori i get a feeling that the ward should cancel it out… i ain't no survivor playing, just saying so that like its known that i ain't against killer or w/e. plus with the 20% chance to get map per offering is coming, wards will be even less meaningful… imo less.

I don’t assume it’s going to be a sweaty match if I see a sacrificial ward. I think it’s simply someone who doesn’t want to be put into an unfair match from the beginning. I assume it’s going to be a sweaty match if I see a map offering, because nearly every time it’s either a killer who has a heavy advantage on that map or a SWF team taking me to an extremely survivor sided map like Eyrie or Badham

I have 3 issues regarding map related offerings:
1. The survivor counterpart equals the killer counterpart, despite the killer only having access to 1 offering.
2. The offering not being returned if a sac ward is used (which, you may be like its an offering, you lose it, but considering some builds like T1 Myers HEAVILY rely on maps, having the survivors use a sac ward and then bring 3 hook distance offerings is frustrating)
3. they are green rarity, meaning that any individual green slot is rarer than any purple or iri individual slot. You will, as a killer, encounter more ebony mori's in your bloodweb than Midwich offerings, because every single map added will reduce the chance of any specific green appearing in your slot.1 -
Ye the rarity doesn't up, during blood mood event I put everything on Myers. Being p100 I have infinite level 50 web... I literally spent millions and millions of BP on it throughout the event. I prioritised tombstone pieces and RPD (and others) Went from 1 tombstone piece (purple) to about 800 I think. I went from 0 RPD map offerings to about 60. How does that make sense? Clearly RPD is vastly more rare from the amount it came up in the web.

I think Sac Wards, the bottled mist, and even the petrified oaks all are incredibly outdated.
The bottled mist does nothing (it doesn't stack anymore), the oaks (doesn't stack anymore), and the Sac Wards will be noticeably weaker as again, map offerings won't be 100% to go to a map anymore.
I usually use BP offerings anyways, but I feel like those three offerings should either be reworked or just removed.
The oaks do not do much, the mist doesn't do much, and the Sac Wards will be useless after the map rework.

No, if anything seeing a sacrificial ward makes me happy and makes me feel like the player who brought it wants a fair match.
I bring sacrificial wards nearly every game on both sides now that they are common rarity, so map offerings basically don't exist in my games anymore, whether they're from opponents or teammates.

They're a band-aid to a problem with a incredibly obvious fix that BHVR seems incredibly adamant on not doing
I'd rather both it and map offerings are removed from the blood web entirely, I want more bloodpoint offerings, not game-changing offerings I will never use out of principle or that someone else can and will use to make the match more favourable for them

I have always been of the opinion that Maps should get their own rarity. One between current green and blue. Or just be 1 pink offering where you can actively choose the realm when you select it.
