Worst 2v8 ever.
This current 2v8 is the worst iteration of 2v8 to date. First of all, stopping the cages from moving when a killer gets too close was a stupid decision. I had a game where an Oni would cage someone, run all the way to the other side of the map to find the person he caged, hit them on cage, then patrol around the cage until they saw someone come for the save. I didn't play the last two 2v8's so I don't know if that was new or not.
That brings me to point number 2. Oni was by far the single worst killer they possibly could have added. As of writing this, I'm on a 5 game losing streak because every game consists of an Oni that slugs everyone to keep using their power. I don't get why Behavior prioritizes the super competitive killers every 2v8. I'd expect Knight or Kaneki in the next 2v8 if my buddy said they can't because of how their powers would make it unfair. Where's Houndmaster, Mikey, Xeno, Bubba? Hell, I would have taken Chucky over the Oni. They had the perfect opportunity to make this 2v8 a stealth killer focused one by throwing literally any of the other stealth killers alongside Ghost Face. But no, they just have to put one mid to low tier killer and one high tier every iteration. I have yet to even see a single Ghost Face because he was overshadowed by Oni. Behavior literally invited toxicity in this 2v8, and I am never touching a future 2v8 if this how they're going to play out from now on.

I don't think Oni was the worst killer they could have added because 1.) they already added the worst killer they could have added, Legion, and 2.) Plague exists. But adding Oni after adding Legion was, uh. Questionable.
Though Oni might be worse than Plague as a power burst killer in 2v8. Plague's sickness and corrupt purge vs 8 survivors is going to be a nightmare when she's inevitably added, but she has to spread her own infection to reap the benefits. Oni can get his power purely off what the other killer does… and normally he's balanced by having a slower start as an M1 killer, where the ideal counterplay is to fend him off as long as possible by playing very safe. Toss in someone like Legion, Wraith, or Blight who can farm quick injures and you lose his downside, and instead he just gets near permanent rage mode.
Ghostface, in contrast, is really badly suited for this mode - his macro game is limited to saving stalk on survivors, and he doesn't even reliably have the option to save stalk for later when his teammate might chase a mostly marked survivor anyway. Other than that, he doesn't have split pressure and the most he can do is snatch the occasional potato from a gen. I've played good games as him today, but honestly I think Wraith does everything he can do better in 2v8 (where maps are big, the game is fast, and mobility is key.) Like I guess he could follow his teammate around and stalk their targets if the teammate isn't Billy or Oni… or a special attacker like Huntress or Nurse… but even then you'd get the same lethality by pincering.
Oni benefits from having twice as many survivors to bleed and rampage on, Ghostface is punished by having twice as many people to reveal him or tip off their teammates that he's stalking their gen.
I didn't realize they removed the anti-camp, but if so that's terrible.

Oni is quite week without power, but in combination with legion or any killer who can get fast injures ( huntress, blight, nurse or bad solo teammates)oni gets power quickly.

Ironically, I think Kaneki would probably be a lot more balanced in 2v8, because there are a TON of pallets which are often easily chainable, and survivors can rebuild pallets. His easy injuries are also not as big a deal due to the medic class and the sheer number of survivors.
The entire reason Kaneki is normally oppressive is because it's often hard to reach something before he's on top of you, and healing takes a long time, which forces you into a catch-22 of either spend time healing against a killer with easy injuries or risk being quickly downed after he suddenly pulls up on you.

Yea i kept hearing some say the anti camp was gone, and others saying its not. ive had a wraith that didnt like getting looped stand right infront of my cage while stealthed just to make sure i never got out. My cage did not move at all,and no other survivors were closeby.

I don't care about cages so much, Legion and Oni are what has ruined it for me. I actually can tolerate Oni but he needs some nerfs as most matches he is in power pretty much the entire time, which is utterly ridiculous.
However Legion just completely ruins this mode for me and even worse is every second match is Legion.
I really don't understand why they added a killer who gets free injures into a mode where a second killer is in play. It just makes the second killer a permanent insta down killer.

8vs2 My TierList Opinion
There are killers that received very large buffs and then there is Ghost Face that was nerfed in 8vs2-2 -
For real, I've seen a lot of killer camping the cages and it didn't move to different place at all

Legion was already a problem past 2x8 , but on this one??? oh boy. Now add in oni that has power the whole game

The Oni/Legion match up is the worst. By far.
I wish they added Dredge & not Oni.

Oni was not meant to be in the same 2v8 as Legion and both Killers will need serious adjustments in the future. I refuse to play against this combo, it's that over the top. Oni is just too strong with this many people; he needs a nerf and should never be able to match with Legion. Legion themselves are fine but can become problematic with Huntress, Oni, Blight, and sometimes Nurse. Everyone else paired with them is fine.
Ghostface is fine for the mode as long as you can play M1 mindgames or stealth games well, and as long as your partner is any good at the game. If they're not, you'll suffer because he simply isn't strong enough to carry in this mode. If you're on the same page, have a plan, and bring an evenly skilled friend though, he performs quite well. If you're seriously struggling this hard with a Killer that can be 130% or more speed AND undetectable at the same time as also being an instant down, I simply don't know what to tell you.

don't forget the 20 - 30 minute wait time as the killer to join a match……..

What could dredge do in this mode the locker amount hasn't changed, i guess nightfall can just last 2x longer and his antiloop could just be faster for him
