They should change it from "Dead by Daylight" to "Dead by Ping"

How would they fix this? It has to do with the player's connection, they can't make everyone get better internet…

If I had to guess, its a regional server complaint? I know some regions don't have servers nearby so the majority of players end up with poor latency, including their opponents as well. Sadly its hard to have dedicated servers cover every area well, so its not uncommon for people to end up matching pretty far away.

this gotta be missing the */s
In case that's actually not a sarcastic but serious comment: dbd sometimes send all players in a lobby to the wrong server. Sometimes all-EU ends up on UK - which is still alright. But sometimes on US East. Or Asia. Which sucks.
Add to that generally poor area coverage; why tf does the Middle East not have a sort-of-southern-ish located server? Why tf does EU get Qatar or UAE players? It's not their fault but it sure as hell ruins the match.

I have noticed with this mode that sometimes I get thrown into servers randomly where I have 180ms ping, when my usual ping is at worst 15ms and as low as 8ms as I must live right by the server in my area.
I don't mind survivors using a VPN as in my experience this makes it harder for the survivor, as you get hit through windows and pallets and cant greed any loops. But high ping killers seem to have a very clear and obvious advantage and there are a lot of unethical players who intentionally exploit this by playing way outside their region.
I will sound biased here… but I think killers should have ping limits of 100ms and survivors a far looser limit (180ms)

There are two reasons why this can happen:
- You are not living in an area with a Dedicated Server nearby, so you are connected to the nearest one, which will result in high Ping. This is because BHVR is (depending on the Region) either not able or not willing to invest into a Server there. It is highly unlikely that it will ever be fixed.
- Your nearest Server is full and then you and all other players get connected to a different Server. In this case, everyone in this game can be from Europe and you are connected to some East Coast-Server, for example.
Since I highly doubt that all players in those screenshots are connected to their nearest Server, I dont think it is case 1 and I think case 2 is the most likely one.
And this CAN and SHOULD be fixed. IMO BHVR should stop sending all 5 players in a match to a far away Server. It is not common anyway so it would be totally fine to let those 5 players wait a bit longer. Because faster Matchmaking does nothing if the game you are playing sucks. I guess most people would gladly wait a minute or two more to get into a game on their usual Server with usual Ping instead of being in a match faster, but everyone having close to 200 Ping. Nobody has fun this way.

Triple digital ping lobby, with my enemy wesker over 300 ping. I can't loop that
I live right outside bhvr headquarters this is weird

This isn't true. If everyones ping is that high over a 100ms it means they are on a server that is too far from their region.
4 -
Yes… their connection to a server that is too far from their region, that's a region issue, should all those people move?

No? Its a simple fix. Put a server closer to their region so they can play without 100+ms. Its not hard.
1 -
Silly. That's the sensible solution, so BHVR won't do that.
