The Pig Pen Hangout

Thanks for the build I tried it a few times and I got one head pop. My only problem was that I constantly got gen rushed and that looping with her was quite frustrating. Respect to everyone maiming pig. Itโs rough.
1 -
Yeah, a talented survivor has to get mindgamed or zoned well to receive their second hit in a reasonable time in my experience. One thing I enjoy about Pig though is that the first hit should usually be free. In any case, I'm glad you got a head to pop :D
1 -
Nah man. Once you get the hang of it, its super natural and your chases will not take long.
I trust more in my chasing abilities on Pig than on any other killer. Same with headpops. Once you understand how to use the rbtยดs properly, youll get headpops without specific addons or perks.
Pig is a great killer, she just has a strategic skill ceiling instead of a mechanical one (except moondash) which makes her stand out from the other killers (with some exceptions) if you want to learn her.

Here's some builds I copied over from the Discord.
Plaything/THWACK + Face the Darkness + Infectious Fright + Deathbound |Add-ons Crate of Gear + Tempered Timer
Grim Embrace + PR + BBQ + DMS Add-ons: No surprise here Iri Tape + R#2
Tempered Timer and CoG would be the go-to add-ons for applying maximum pressure. You can always flex something for Corrupt Intervention or Surge if you think you're not building enough gen pressure.
2 -
Iโll try them tomorrow, thx.
Has anyone else tried pig with monitor? Itโs kinda insane.
2 -
Not yet. Been meaning to try that out with the new buff. I assume it's going to be decent at the very least?
1 -
How's the forum Pig gang doing? Any new builds ya'll trying out? I've been meaning to have fun with the NO-Pig build using None Are Free, NOED, No Way Out, BBQ.
4 -
They're too busy playing Kaneki to even think about Amanda and I dont blame them after making her dog water in the event.
Other then that here's a chill build. Brutal Strength/Enduring/Fire-up/Spirit Fury
0 -
That's probably true. I've been playing Pig during the event. Trying out some hit-and-run builds with Slow-release Toxin to remove exhaustion perks from being used in chases if the survivors don't get their hats off :D
1 -
Hats off to you being able to play her in the event. I feel like this is the closest we've gotten to just seeing just a pure-chase oriented Amanda and it really shows just how much RBT is where her real power and identity come from.
Any specific perks you're using in your hit-and-run builds? Sloppy? Surge? STBFL? Rapid Brutality? Don't keep us in the dark now ๐
1 -
Yeah, I've been seeing a lot of people comlain about Pig and gen-oriented things in the event. I most recently ran Sloppy, Nurse's, Hysteria, Alien Instinct. The goal is to get some people injured and abuse Hysteria while people are healing.
I think I want to trade out Alien Instinct for a chase perk though. Suppressing exhaustion perks with hats is nice, but it doesn't close out chases against good loopers. So instead I just find myself using stealth to get quick first hits, and then running around like a maniac while Hysteria's active.
1 -
If you're looking to swap out some perks for something more chase perks you might look into doing a 2 perk dip for STBFL and Rapid Brutality ( I know, the horror). I find that combo can help with catching up and shaving seconds off time in chase.
Since gen defense don't work in event mode anyways you might also look into Zoom Pig (STBFL, Rapid Brutality, PWYF, Coup De Grace). Also honorable mention to Hex: Blood Favor, which is always good until it's gone ๐ฅ

But we have Pig Terror Radius Theme at home:

Still the best Freddy chase theme imo

@UndeddJester is back and alive again. We missed you.

Thoughts on Kaneki?
1 -
I'm warming my fingers again before I post that one xD
But in a nutshell, Kaneki feels little like getting hit by Winter Soldier Ult in Marvel Rivals xD
2 -
AGAIN
3 -
i want old pig traps back where you could add an extra box the traps activated after the last gen pops we could see boxes and survivors would die if they tried to leave with the head trap on
1 -
Thanks for stopping by HP. Best of luck on your P100 journey with Pig!

Yeah wish she could get some of her v1 power back. She hasn't been the same since 2019. Still love Pig, but I do think it's a little ridiculous that she isn't allowed to keep up with the power creep. Nightlite showing her performing consistently below the 60% ideal KR and with some of the updates we've gotten recently I just find that to be unacceptable and insulting that she is suppressed while other killers are getting meaningful buffs and reworks to make them better. Heck, they're even releasing new killers with multiple powers or that break the established "Conventional rules" of gameplay, making them automatically A-B tier. Meanwhile Pigs been sitting pretty in C-tier for like what, 6 years now? She needs more buffs for sure.
1 -
Still one of my favorite DBD memes
2 -
What id like to see
Traps are auto activated after all 5 gens are done.
Dash is 15% faster
Crouch is a slightly faster
Plus one box (either base or add on)
Make boxes into merciless stormesque skill checks
Remove Jakes Spleen
1 -
I can get behind most if not all those changes. I think think she could use an add-on or two can inflict on-contact status effects for hitting ambush. Name it a toxin and it inflicts status effects like hinder, mangled, or deepโฆ wound would be a start. Currently the only ones that do that are tied to the RBT and you can run out of your power putting you in a situation where you also lose an entire add-ons value. Where as ambush, you can use that as many times as you need throughout the trial and will be your biggest chase tool.

all they need to do is un nerf her and she'd shoot up to b or a tier

WE GOT A STEALTH PIG NERF THAT WAS NOT IN THE PATCH NOTES!
HOWEVER, THIS IS ONE WE IN THE SOCIETY OF SWINE ASKED FOR!
This is survivor streamer Kneenz demonstrating the nerf!0 -
This is a fine nerf that has to come with a compensatory buff though.
Believe it or not, but this is a bigger nerf than it seems. This should not go unnoticed my friends!
2 -
Hello, fellow Pigs ๐ท
The charm bundle in the store this week is dedicated to the SAW Chapter!
I hope you are all doing well ๐
3 -
Niioce... that cassette tape player though...
I'm doing well thanking you! Nearly finished my quest of prestige 6 on everyone, and only have 3 and a half tomes left until completion... DBD life is good...
Do need Pig mask Meg back though... discovered I don't have it ๐ฅบ

HYPE!!!
Glad our Pig memorabilia is becoming more accessible. You just reminded me of the fact, that we can use survivor only charms on killer now as well. I always wanted to have the tape recording hanging on my hooks. Its like in the films:
The survivor is in a dangerous situation (on hook with a trap) an has to reach out to get the tape recording to listen to the games rules.
Its a tough choice over Billy on the tricycle toughโฆ
Im doing fine! Thank you! Although the amount of BOOPs in my matches has decreased as of late. T๐ฝT
2 -
I'm glad you're doing well!
You shouldn't be getting boops anymore, remember?
We call them Beeps now because ๐ท are using Distressing as not to give Survivors a heart attack.
It's like saying
"Beep, Beep, I'm coming through (without stealth and with Distressing) Beep the snoot."
4 -
NEVER replace Billy on the tric charm, not even a choice. ๐ฃ

I've been on hiatus from DBD for about 1-2 years and just re-downloaded this week. I got back into playing Amanda (previously an okay Sadako main) and, after watching/reading guides and actually play testing, I've been doing really well. It's good to know I'm not the only Pig main in the world. All hail the Oink Queen!
4 -
Welcome back to the grind. Any particular streamers you've been watching to get back into killing form? ๐ท All hail our fair lady Amanda
3 -
I don't really watch streams, but I've been filing through various "tips 'n tricks" type videos from multiple sources. One guy I've been looking into is DrussNBubba, the so-called "#1 Pig Main," and some of his strategies.

On Booping: An Open Letter
Dear Survivors,
Booping is an ancient and sacred tradition, and must be treated as such. It must be taken delicately and with Mandy's permission. It is not an easy win tactic nor a get-out-of-jail-free card. Please don't expect me to warm up to you if I've finally cornered you after an entire game of getting pallet dropped and blinded.
Sincerely,
Me
5 -
lol I try to control when my survivors will try to boop. My goal is to honor all boops, but also keep my MMR from tanking :D
Also, if someone tries to bm, booping may be pulled off the table ;)
4 -
Very respectable
3 -
I usually allow the last survivor to and/or those who have bested me in a fair match. I will admit, however, I can get pretty bloodthirsty ๐๐ท๐ช

-
You should get her Black Jacket outfit for those insatiable bloodthirst moods. Amanda looks great in Black ๐๐ท๐ช
Also @CountOfTheFog has a PSA about Distressing on Pig.
5 -
Hell yeah, she does. However, I've been stuck on her Test Subject outfit: simple, yet fashionable. Red is the color of blood, after all
2 -
P3 body + Reverse bear trap head piece = trauma for surrvivors ๐ฅ๐ฝ๐ฅ

Experimenting with other killers to give Mandy a rest and to spare me the recent embarrassments of 3-4 escapes at Prestige 4.
Springtrap- Solid killer with good stats and map management. Very fun to play, but currently makes you feel like you're on a wall of Buzz Lightyears. Sniped and downed a teabagger; made me smile.
Plague- Man, puking on people sure is fun. Absolutely got cooked first game, board wiped the second.
Knight- Love dark fantasy. Complex af at first, but I got a hang of it after four escapes first round.
Chucky- 3rd Person killer is weird, but it works. A lot like our Piglet ๐ฝ with his stealth attack. Hard to control, but fried a lobby first game and made a Sable rage. This will likely never happen again.
Playing Pig has really taught me how to try and make a lot of a little, and it does translate into some other killers. Amanda will always be on top, though ๐๐ท๐ช
2 -
I've always believed that Our Lady is one of the best killers to learn the fundamentals of DBD on.
She relies quite heavily on sound M1 knowledge, but her RBT slowdown used at a basic level buys you the time you need to really practice your m1 gameplay.
Never be embarrassed at 3e or 4e games. Pig is a labour of love, canonically you're merely giving survivors a perceived chance to save themselves... rather than trying to kill them as fast as possible... if your kill everyone, who is gonna share the tales? ๐
3 -
True that, brother. I've been trying to let myself just let it go, despite the teabags at the gate. Achieve inner peace and all that (imagine Amanda doing yoga in her free time). Funnily enough, I got into a game where the survivors tried quite literally every toxic trick in the book against me, failed pretty hard, and then I got 2 head pops and a sacrifice almost one after another. Last guy escaped because of his map offering, but it was worth.
