DBD chapter idea
I have been planning on a future DBD chapter, more specifically a sea themed one. I was thinking it could be a deep sea killer I like to call “the maw” and he is covered in seaweed and is wearing visibly ruined scuba gear, in his backstory he was a deep sea diver named Victor Vance who was hired to go on a high risk scuba dive into a abyss and suffers a terrible fate (he has a map that’s a new realm with lots of environmental hazards such as unstable ground, the map is called the abyssal ruins and the realm is called the Forgotten Depths) his power has him unleash a screech with a cooldown of one minute that reveals survivors in his terror radius aura for 8 seconds and they suffer 5% hindered, he can also place down seaweed tripwires (a max of 5, 7 with add ons) on vertical surfaces within certain distances and when a survivor trips on them they suffer 25% hindered for 5 seconds (with add ons they get injured or deep wound) survivors can find switchblades around the map to cut the seaweed.
Perks: Scourge Hook- Deep Pressure
When hooking a survivor on a scourge hook, all damaged generators regress at 10% extra speed for 30/45/60 seconds
perk 2: Crushing Depths
Every failed skill check reduces generator, Boon, Cleansing, and healing speed for all survivors by 6/7/8% for 8/9/10 seconds
Perk 3: Dragged Below
Injured survivors take longer time to vault by 5/10/15% and the radius of their pained cries are increased by 2/4/6 meters.
Here’s an AI generated image of the maw:

another thing I forgot to mention about his power is that he can leave water puddles and travel through them like a demogorgon and Alien combination when his screech is on cooldown

i've been wanting something like this as well. Think The Shadow over Innsmouth. Lovecraftion horror themed. Something they haven't tapped into yet.

I agree with you, kinda like what they did with Sci Fi with the release of alien and singularity, they tested something new and it made the game feel refreshing. I believe a sea chapter could do the same thing, maybe even better!
